so, I'm not too practiced at crafting with my char, but I do have the universal dye kit. I used it once and it turned everything I have white. I was hoping to be able to choose the color it dyes things. Is that possible, and if so how would I do that? Taran really wants a green cloak so he can hide in the woods Thanks for any help folks, and see ya IG.

When you right click the dye kit, there should be a little star signifying another set of menus. Click that and the find the icon with an asterisk. That should open up the kit itself and from there choose whether or not you're dying leather/cloth or metal. Once that's done, there's an option to list colors available. Look in your right hand chat window (that usually keeps battle stats) and a copy of the colors and their numbers will be listed there. Find the color you want, use the menu to increase or decrease the number (starts at 0) to the number of your color, cilck adjust (or ok or whatever the acceptance thing is) and it will store that color choice. Then go back to the kit, right click on it, then click on the cloth, leather, or metal areas (those marked one are for major areas, those with 2 for lesser seen areas) and there you have it.
I will admit on a personal note, this is the most complicated universal dye kit I've seen. The OLD Battledale server had one that you just clicked on the area (cloth 1, cloth 2, metal 1, metal 2, leather 1, leather 2) then you could scroll through each color just like you scroll through options for adjusting armor. Very easy to use. I know that they now have something like that for their starting area where you have to go to a 'changing area' and choose, but still the same scripting.

Also, if you do open the menu on the dye kit, you should not Escape from it without changing the colour choice or it can keep popping back up at random like the dialog was never completed.
