Born in a small rustic cottage not so far from the high forest Rodan Gallows was the eldest of two sons. Rodan's family lived as many do in the dangerous lands of Ferun: with a great deal of adversary. The lands were always war-torn, and Rodan's father was drafted in to the local guard, to eventually fall in the defense of his homeland.
Rodan's mother, a beautiful farm maid, became sick with grief. One evening she took a stroll, and becoming lost in her thoughts, traveled deeper in to the elven woods than most humans with good judgment do, until she encountered a lone male elf. Captivated by her beauty and sadness, he fell for her.
Time passed and they had a baby, Bram, child of an elven and human union.
Bram's elven blood was predominant in him, and the elven village embraced him as one of their own. Rodan's mother began to spend more and more time secretly visiting the elven village, and distance grew between Rodan and his mother. Refused by a firm and traditional elven village as the son of a warring father and race, Jealousy took Rodan, and eventually consumed him. One night, Quietly as his family slept, he snuck in to their rooms to watch them as they dreamed. He then said his goodbyes, and with tear-filled eyes ended his grief and the lives of his mother and brother.
Many summers passed and grief grew in him as he carried on with his life. Stranger still, unexplained occurrences now seemed to follow him and his mood. When anger entered his mind, objects near him would knock over, burn, or break. Unsure of his
condition, he visited the local wise-man, who after hearing of his condition concluded that he may possess the latent ability of the fabled sorcerer. Intrigued by the thought, and grieved by the knowledge of the crime he had committed, he left his home
that very night. That evening he swore to himself that if he could, he would use the power he possessed to bring his family back to him.
And so began his journey to Isinhold.
