A sinister grin spread across her full lips and her emerald green eyes lit up as bright as the moon upon seeing the familiar sight of her home. It had been nearly ten years since her feet had tread on this land; and she had not been welcome last she was here. She smiled to herself as she thought of what await her clan.
It was their faults; they had made her who she is today. Their harsh punishments and ridiculous rules made her sick. Now though, it was their turn to be punished.
She peeked her head around the large tree in front of the hidden entrance to their glen, the same tree she had played in when she was a child. Mentally swatting away the memories that threatened to flood her she looked once more to the entrance.
Nothing had changed. There were two guards on either side of the hidden entrance; one resting a great axe lazily on her shoulder, her eyes fighting to stay open. The other had a vicious looking Morningstar hanging at her belt, and she was sitting on the cushiony grass, letting the sun beat down on her.
Her fierce green eyes took in the pathetic sight quickly, and she nearly laughed. They were making this far too easy!
She made sure her axe was secured tightly to her back and she ran a hand through her starless black hair unconsciously. Taking a deep breath she stepped out from behind the large tree, her armor clanking as she walked.
The sound of her plate instantly alarmed the guards to her presence, and they were on their feet in an instant, their weapons drawn defensively. She offered them a friendly smile and extended her hands in a peaceful gesture.
The guards did not lower their weapons but stood ready to attack at any moment. She walked confidently to them, the weight of “Bloods Rage” on her back a comfort, and a reminder.
As she approached the two women closer, she could now recognize them as friends of her youth. She let out a low menacing chortle, which startled the two women.
The two women seemed to be looking her over and talking amongst themselves when the woman holding the Morningstar turned to her, her eyebrows raised high.
“Lunitari?” she asked in a gruff voice.
She nodded slowly, a smile plastered to her features. She began moving towards them once more.
“You should not be here Lunitari, you are banished…if your moth…” The woman with the axe started saying, but was not aloud to finish her thought before Lunitari was upon her, a malevolent grin fixed on her face. Her hands craftily made their way to her face where she gripped tightly, her teeth grit together firmly with effort. The muscles in her arms taut with usage as she twisted the woman’s head sharply to the right, breaking her neck instantly. The bones in her neck made a loud popping noise as they shattered, causing Lunitari’s smile to wide.
Lunitari released the woman’s head, letting her entire body topple to the ground below. Without turning her head at all she caught the glimmer of the sun shining off the other woman’s Morningstar as it swung at her head. Without a second thought, Lunitari had thrown herself into a crouch position, her hands grabbing onto the lush grass below her as she kicked out with her left leg strongly and roughly making contact with the woman’s legs and knocking her to the ground.
A low growl emanated from deep within Lunitari’s throat as she stood slowly, looking at the obviously stunned warrior. Her eyes burning with hatred and revenge she stared into the terrified eyes of the fallen.
Her lips curled back in a sneer before reaching behind her right hand and unhooking “Blood’s Rage”.
She raised the magnificent great axe over her head slowly and with her voice as deadly as poison, spoke the last words this woman would ever hear.
“Give my love to Ziraxzn.”
