Dear Borran *chews his quill pensively* well, here i am! I finally made it to cormyr. The ship we came on was nothing like as nice s the ones they make back home, but it worked good enough. *swings his feet idly*
I hope you got your cottage built back up. I'm really sorry i burned it down while practicing that light spell you showed me. I wanted to impress you and i thought if i practiced in secret you would think i wsa a really good mage. *sighs as he writes* But i promise i'll send money back home to help with rebuilding. Oh, and for the golem i broke when i forgot to oil it. *breaks into giggles as he writes, then gets control of himself again*.
well, not so much more to write right now. I only just got off the boat and now i'm going to this place called regal griffin. I hear there's lots of people there who are trying to learn. But doon't worry! When i come back home i'll be the greates wizard in Lantan! Except you of course. Well, tell aunt mary that i'm ok, and tell mom and dad that i love them.
