*sighs*
She picks up the quill in her hand and dips it into the ink.
"Where to start..."
Since I have come to Cormyr my life has been one hectic thing after another. I wish it was in my power to control my heart, but alas...I cannot. I do not claim to have worldly knowledge of men, though I wish I did. Upon first arriving in Isinhold, I met Darius...*sighs*...what a horrible man he was. Filled my heart with empty promises, and then when I refused he turned on me. After that horrible experience, I refused to see him and wandered Cormyr in solitude. After quite a bloody battle with some hobgoblins I returned to Isinhold quite the worse for wear...and I met Talenduil. He very quickly became everything to me, my best friend, my lover and then my fiance. I never listened to anyone else when they told me it would never work...he was an elf, they dont commit. It didnt matter, I was in love. Well they were right. A week after his proposal...he left me. And has yet to return...it has been nine months now, and not one word.
*She drops the quill and wipes her brow quickly, and stretches her hand out.*
Things became complicated while Talenduil was away...there was someone else. He walked into my life and completely blew me away. I had never met another human being like him...and he wanted to give me anything I asked for. He gave me the choice to run away with him...and I didnt. I still had faith that Talen would return to me. So I turned him down. And he went his way, and I went mine...we continued to be friends and as the days when by, I fell more and more for him. Soon I was hooked...but he was already spoken for, and thus my chance had been missed. So here I sit, in a tiny room at the Regal Griffon Inn, thinking of the ghosts of my past, and what may lay in my future.
*She smiles to herself, as she lays the quill down. She stands and walks over the mirror. There is a silver chain around her neck and a delicate and beautiful ring hanging from it. She slowly unclasps the chain and slides the ring off. After looking at it for some time, she places it on the bedside table. After gathering up her belongings, she leaves the room...leaving the ring and all its memories behind her.*
