And so I decided to write a Diary...

DAY I
Been two months at least and I miss her as much as one can. The only comfort I find is only when I'm around few friends, or somewhere out exploring new to me areas.

Today I travelled to Tun.

It was all Lyn's idea:

Rath the mysterious priest of the firelord, a capable and dependable guy that we travel a lot together since Zae trusts him,

Nura, the always good-willed -I think- gnome with the funny opinions about polygamy,

Aria, Zae's soon to be wife *laughs as he jots down* and a rather capable wizard with the truly amusing idea that she's got to wear armor to survive,

and I truly hope I haven't forgot someone... *rolls his eyes* ...

Everything was fine until they started discussing their love lives in public. Oh gods, I hate that. Just keep it to yourselves, respect that we just don't wanna hear or know your personal stuff. Then of course... it all came down as an insult to me when I pointed it out.

*sighs* Well people always take advantage of my patience... I've shown so much lately. If I hadn't, I bet I'd have killed at least a certain individual I'm thinking of, not to mention a lot more, but that will have to wait... I don't wanna kill anyone, but I have the strange feeling I might have to, soon.

Of course, the lack of good mood between the people led to danger. I'm sure only Rath would have survived and maybe Aria if I wasn't keen on taking the right measures to protect them.

Oh well... I suppose I'll have to push all this to the back of my mind as always... I never wanna trouble others with my problems... -plus- we did get good coin and I bought that very expensive cloak...

I miss her so much... Good thing I didn't let my disappointment push me into doing something deadly the other day... or maybe not good...

Time will show everything.

*smiles weakly* I can't believe I'm keeping a diary.

[Myth]

DAY 2:

Been a rather slow day in Isinhold, so I just took a walk to one of my favourite places, Skullcrag. Anne and Detlef helped me on my journey. I feel so lucky that Detlef is aiding me, it was such an unexpected surprise, though still I'm not sure if I deserve it, but I feel I'm slowly turning to a better person with him around.

Saw that guy Gasper again. Another one who doesn't care what he's doing as long as he manages to acquire some power if you ask me. He's eager to dabble in Necromancy and raise undead by the looks of it. Should probably keep an eye on him as well, those guys usually get powerful rather soon.

Oh well... not much more to write today... Still I miss her, and not many people I'd like to spend time with are around today, I'd better just go back to my cocoa and the coziness of the inn here

*finishes writing and takes a sip from his cocoa, leaning forward before Bela pokes his ribs. Bela! *tucks the small book in his backpack*

What is past is past. I lived through it and it changed me. She left without leaving a word, and I could only wait for -so- long. Things changed, now there's someone here that really cares about me. This time things will work out, I feel we're made for each other.

The thought that probably the best thing I've ever done was dance with her that night is funny...

A long day.

He paused just before the last room, he'd been there before. This time he wasn't sure why. It all started when he offered himself to aid the warrior against the frost giants. As he was taking a deep breath, he remembered the king of the giants falling helpless as more than a dozen orbs of magical energy crushed into his body. He fell like the Balor had fallen some hours ago. Yes, the “drunk mage” as he was called the same evening had killed the “king” without much trouble, both of his mage companions knew that he could cast that spell again and again if it was needed. Now he was ready to do what he always was after, to battle another lich, the denizen of Icingdwell. Last time he had only distracted the lich as the archwizard had crushed it with his magic. This time it was his turn.

As he stepped near, he heard a voice “The lich”. Taking a deep breath he uttered an incantation, followed by the arcane gestures that he never thought about, they were as if it was some knowledge that was always his, yet he had to uncover it, with time and pain. Everything around him started moving very slow as he himself was accelerated. The corner of his eye caught a glimpse of the lich, just some moments before any regular man would see it. It wasn't in his eyes actually, was a picture in his mind from the dweomer he had cast earlier. His eyes a deep red colour, he firmly uttered another incantation and an ethereal fist slammed the powerful being to the ground... Now the rest of the world didn't exist, it was just him and the dead necromancer. The undead tried to stand and run but still was dazed by the punch, as a wave of magical energy hit him and defied all his defenses and it's innate resistance to magic. “With this you can actually battle a spellcaster sometime”, Zaebros had told him, and he was right. As the lich fell to it's knees once again, he started repeating the incantation that slew the Balor and the frost giant king, the Greater Missile Storm as the bookwizards called it.

Throughout the casting that to others must have seemed very quick, but to him took ages, an image of two faces flashed, two childish faces, still horribly twisted. Two very familiar faces that probably were the real reason why he was battling a lich... for yet another time. He nearly winced as he finished uttering the first spell, and repeated the procedure. Seconds later, the powerful being had succumbed to his undeniable power. He looked around, noticing his companions as though they just appeared, and with a few more spells helped them finish the battle. As the elf lay dead, the sorcerer seemed oblivious to anything and his stress was replaced by peace, the two twisted child faces were replaced by a beautiful female. He and his companions had braved the keep without much difficulty.

Hours later in the Griffon's suite, he slipped inside the sheets and placed his arms around her, catching her scent and placing a gentle kiss on her lips before falling asleep next to her.

[Myth]

I feel as I've lost enthusiasm anymore. My goals are still there, my mission is still the same, however at times I feel that I'm not taking the necessary steps towards it. Things need to change in my life soon or I will probably lose all interest and actually become a 'drunken mage'...

Thankfully, in this last visit I've met up with a score of old friends and I've been "borrowing" some of their passion. Zaebros, Celith, Aren, Taran... My travels with Taran are always refreshing, his presence especially inside the woods is soothing and relaxing for me, and he's always up to something.

I wish I could travel more outside Isinhold, I've been just idling around too much the previous months that I feel like I've been neglecting my gift. And I have to become more active against the threats.

[Myth]

How can what you want be right next to you all the time, yet you spend years trying to desperately find it everywhere? That's how I feel. She was right next to me all these years, beauty of body and of soul, someone I can trust my thoughts, my goals, my desires. Motives proven, power already achieved, passion, desire and care for me.

I hadn't felt this way for whole years. I truly hope this can last, I feel renewed, again with drive and passion.....
