*Delivered to the Red Ravens*
Accuser: Tinus Canne (Dwarf in fullplate... proper girth)
Accused: Elvin (Pretty certain he's an elf. Necromancer dressed in black and wearing a skull helmet and pointy bits on his armor, claims that the bones on his armor are from humans, elves and dwarves.)
Murdered: Vana (Maiden with colorful hair, maybe blue.. I'm colorblind)
Murdered: Chicken
Further Crimes: Raising of the dead.
Further Crimes: Attempted murder of Tinus Canne.
Witness: Naril (Elf with black hair and sometimes wears green leathers with yellow trims)
Witness: Waldo (Greatgaunt militia guardsman had a good view of the incident)
Witness: Derrister Goodman (Farmer, happened right in front of his farm, he was present)
Witness: Fella with a pet rat. Name unknown.
Incident Report:
Stood outside the inn. Elvin made the claim that the bones attached to his armor/robes came from dwarves, elves and humans. I asked him if he was a good person, he refused to answer. I asked him if he was a necromancer who raises the dead. He said he would show me some "tricks" outside of town. He went to the inn for a rest and then we went south of town right outside of the village in front of the farm house. There were several witnesses present. Elvin raised a mummy and attacked me with magical means. I defended myself. The onlookers stood by and watched. I was damaged however Naril intervened by giving me a healing potion. I then continued to fight the mummy whilst Elvin threw spells at me. My strength was drained and I could only stand and block the oncoming attacks from his undead minion. Next the maiden whom I later found was named Vana was murdered by Elvin through magical means, she did not give him any cause to do this as far as I could see. At that point I pulled back into the town. Elvin returned soon after and boasted of further actions he intends to inflict upon me. He claims that he will break my bones and doesn't care if it is against the law to assault people. He boldly stated in front of witnesses in the middle of the town that he raises the dead and that he murdered the lass and that he intends to murder me in the near future.
Then an unknown person dressed in dark robes appeared claiming to be a powerful necromancer himself. He stood by Elvin. He then proceeded to argue with me about semantics such as necromancy being legal as long as it doesn't involve raising the dead in a poor attempt to lessen the gravity of the incident, even though he wasn't even there to see it unfold. I could speculate that he was called through magical means to argue and try to make me feel as if all this was to be accepted as an every day occurrence. I informed him that murder, assault and raising the dead was illegal and he said that it was a minor crime and that Elvin will only receive a minor fine and no jail time. The "high ranking" necromancer clearly had no respect for the law here and had contempt for me. He then suggested that Elvin challenge me to a legal duel.. I informed him that it was the counties laws that Elvin had broken, murder and entrapment of the eternal souls of the dead to use in the raising of his undead. I declined.
If you need more information I'll be happy to answer your questions. I will be around Greatgaunt. If I am found murdered then it's reasonable to direct your suspicions to Elvin and his accomplices, I have no other enemies that I am aware of here besides the goblin king and his minions. I am evidently not strong enough to stand against his powerful magics for long. It is my hope that you take these events seriously before more people are murdered and more souls are casually imprisoned and forcibly controlled through negative magical energies.
