It was supposed to be my new life, my new....Do I Dare call it a Paradise? I can't be quite for sure, but I do know that this life is exactly how I wanted it to be. All my years, I have been traveling, from my birthland, of which I know little about. to the sands of the great isle of Evermeet. Waterdeep was a brief affair, but I won't forget how scared I was around all those humans. Besides, I had Uncle Unebrion to keep me safe. I miss him already....I can't believe I got so lost! I never ment to stray away from that Caravan that was heading to Arabel. Uncle said that this was his last Merchant trip, that we could finally settle down in this town he called, "The Caravan City" Oh! It sounded so exciting. Even Aunt Noble said I could go to school with the other arcane students. I could get the knowledge that not even she could teach me. But I need to gain my thoughts...I need to know what went wrong before I could come up with a solution. A sound lesson, Aunty, You have been a great help to me.
Ok, So....It was supposed to be easy; Uncle said so. We where to travel from the High Forest, the last place he claimed he need to trade in. He said he finally had enough gold to settle down. He told me that no better place was than that of Arabel. As I asked him more of it, he claimed that it was a growing town...something that had suffered from a huge battle and was now recovering from it. Other words, a great oppertunity. Uncle would laugh at that statement.
The trip was long enough, but it was pleasant in my horse cart Horses...stranges beings they are, something that I had hardly ever seen until now. but Im getting away from my point. I really hate when my mind does that.
We finally where close when I decided to walk the rest of the way. I guess I was tired of sitting...I was just like my father, I would rather walk miles and never miss the scenery than to sit in comfort. Of course I made the mistake of walking off..I don't ever remember what it was that caught my attention. A flying bird I had never seen before? Sadly it was only me and my Uncle's guards that where ahead, and never did they see me walk away. I came back to the road, nay I ran to the road, screaming as loud as I couild but I guess they didn't hear...no one ever went back for me.
I walked and I walked from there, finally making it to the gates of Cormyr But NOO! I couldn't get in! Only my fathers had the right papers, something given to him by a Cormyrian noble at our stay in the high forest. Without those papers, I was stuck! But that was when I met Rasma. Silly silly Rasma. He helped me register my name and everything at the desk of some outpost that sat outside. Yet sadly that wasn't enough. They wanted me to be an adventurer first! Im only a elf of eighty three! Im not built to be an adventurer. My father and mother where adventuers, same as Uncle. But not me! Sure I know a few spells that could help hurt things, but I would never do such a thing! And don't get me started on a sword...I tried to swing one and almost cut off both me and uncles ears!
But Rasma helped me again, and soon we where on a quest to get some ingredients for some rod for a mage. Appearntly to get an adventurer's charter, the last piece of paper need to get inside, we needed a thousand gold...A THOUSAND GOLD! I have never held more than a hundred. But as I said we where given a task to earn that amount. After digging for what seemed like hours, me and Rasma took the stuff to the mage and he made the rod that he wanted. Then he told us his plan. He wanted us to go back down there and retrieve some artifact that was trapped behind a wall of frost! But could he get it? NOOOO! It was up to us to get it, and get it we did. The mage kept his word and handed us the gold. I was excited as that adventurer's charter was now in my hands. But something happen that I did not expect.
I was to walk outside the gates, get inside and explain to the guards my problem to get a ride to Arabel right? Of course not! Life had to be mean! I was forced to go through some portal with Rasma to go to some town that I had never heard about. And all I wanted was a trip to Arabel!.
So now Im here...a place to go....and but no gold to get us there... Oh geeze...I did all this writing and it never helped with a thing! I still have no idea what to do.
