Homeland: Waterdeep (as if you couldn't tell...)
The Lianicelle family is an elven merchant family of Waterdeep. The family business, which deals in the art trade, was founded by Gaelieno, a powerful wizard who spent many years adventuring across the Realms and beyond. He found himself in posession of many artifacts both powerful and mundane, and became very wealthy by unloading many of them on the nobles simply because of their appearance and history. Because of their afluent lifestyle, most of his children were lazy and failed in the magical teachings he attempted to give them. Marcianna was able to fake her way through it, but in time began to consider adventuring for herself. Aside from getting away from her annoying siblings, she could rake up a cache of her own and live comfortably for the rest of her life...
Marcianna's sole purpose in Cormyr is to rake up enough treasure to return to Waterdeep and spend the rest of her life lying on cushions. She styles herself as a treasure hunter ; she wouldn't go so far as to kill or rob someone, if only out of fear of a tarnished reputation. Her urban upbringing has taught her that cooperation and at least apparent goodwill often leads to a more lucrative conclusion to any deal. She views favors as currency to lend and to spend. She uses promises of adventure and treasure to motivate her companions. She has also had the Doom Song stuck in her head since she heard it, and she sometimes belts it out to annoy her adversaries.
Because of her recent Cormyr encounters, she is wary of Paladins and priests.
Her bodyguard, Erool, was commissioned by her father to protect her in her travels away from Waterdeep.
