(Note that I'm keeping alot of revealing info out of this until I've played the character in the server for a month or two just to keep things interesting.)
Name: Richard-Leon Casca, "Leo"
Character History/background: I have chosen to disclose this at a later date.
Physical description, including hair color, eye color, height and physical build:
This masculine visage of bronze idealogy stands at a height of 6'6" with a broad skeletal structure and fine, narrow facial features. His skin is an olive tan and adorning his skull is an untamed mess of raven-sheen black locks that frame his face not unlike a Lion's mane, shrouding the gold-brown onset that bears bright blue glimmering eyes. His musculature is dense and sinuous, and in his physique his near-complete-lack of bodyfat is entirely noticeable. His demeanor is that of a stoic unweatherable, his mannerisms soft-spoken and gentle. When dealing with other males not those he holds in close or high regard he will seem aloof, while dealing with females he will seem strangely familiar and endeared(even if he dosn't know them).
What is your character's personality, what goals will he have?
Richard-Leon is an idealistic romanticist/heroic at heart, though the mold of his existence is shaped in attribution entirely to philosophies of both Kara-tur samurai and sword-coast cavalier discipline: resulting in a soft-hearted, stoic protagonist prone to committing outrageous acts to uphold the extremity of a "Greater good"(Chaotic Good). Although, he will never resort to such without much contemplation. Regardless, though Richard-Leon's willpower and self-control extend to such lengths that he has achieved a constant meditative state in which he conciously engineers his sub-concious, he is not beyond acting in a way that may seem narrow-minded or blind in the name of the greater ideal at hand. Richard-Leon is a masculine-chivalrous entity at heart and will often refer to more traditional, courtly manners when dealing with women. Because of his idealistic nature, Richard-Leon is a young man enabled towards(while being disabled towards their opposites) the more loyalty-based facets of bonding with others: Monogamous Love, brotherhood and comradery. This is to say that because the majority of his outlook on life is very serious, he has trouble forming less lasting and more fleeting bonds with others, understanding less cunning humor and committing himself to actions he dosn't believe are productive.
Richard-Leon is a studious pupil of the sword , and as such attributes himself and his most heartfelt lessons to the virtues of Honor, Martial Discipline and Righteousness. If not for the momentous purpose he has given himself and the very core of his being - his lionheart, Richard-Leon might be a vigilante or a vagabond swordsman: Drifting from engagement to engagement, seeking only advancement as a fighter and living for the pursuit of conflict.
(Very little more can be said without revealing too much of his history)
An OOC note on the character:
Richard-Leon is a classic idealistic male of a more classic story, which in itself maintains a mundane hum of activity that one might overlook. But given to the tinkering of a divine Mother, subjected to the perceptions of characters like the Fallen zealots, being twisted and burdened by the bloody past of his ancestry and faced with momentous forces of rage, guilt and loss ,his story can be much more. A lionhearted young man that has learned the rare quality of putting aside sorrow and rage for what is not yet truly lost. His integrity is in the fact that one thing in him, no matter what, will never change: No matter the where, the when, the how or the why - Richard will at least try to do the 'right' thing, everytime. Hands down. Introducing that element into the viewpoints of characters who have otherwise never met something like him, great roleplay can be accomplished.
That's my goal as a player.
About the player:
My name is Leon and I have been a participant in online roleplaying communities for over six years. I am twenty two years old. I attend college classes at the university of washington and am in my third year towards a degree in psychology. I am looking for a roleplaying server in Neverwinter Nights to dedicate to, and serve as a place where I can freely expend my creative energy (which I have an almost nonsensical abundance of. Not that that's bragging - I simply mean to say I need an outlet outside of my own writings). I am a strong believer in the act of roleplaying and the communities with which it can bring you into, I feel that roleplay is not only a healthy recreation, but can enhance and encourage production of creative energy within any who partake in it.
Otherwise, I'm a man of the arts and much like the characters I like to play: I'm an idealist and a hopeless romanticist. Duely noted is my self-absorption and tending towards introversion in the fact that I have designed all of my characters after my personal psychological makeup in the past(including in this application), though they are then altered sometimes drastically to become their own beings.
