Imagine if you will, a small farm, in a small village, in a relatively obscure region. An adopted elf, raised by generations of humans as best they can, sets out to discover his destiny. Dreams of Knights in shining armour on Silver Dragons, long lances, flying into battle. Yet never a battle has he fought. Charming, polite to a fault, and unaware of the real nature of humanity in all beings. A simple mind with over reaching ideals. Not a thinker, not a warrior, what will become of him in this brave new world?
