On my main character, Alaria, I'm really feeling like I'm not doing myself any favors clinging to a character that hasn't been around for the last 3 years. All her old friends have moved on, she doesn't fit into the new groups existing on the server, and by the time a new group gets up to her level and are able to do anything with her, the RP connections have already been formed and she's still going to be an outsider.
I'm tired of playing an outsider, watching other people RP and only rarely encountering those few people willing to RP with me myself. Being involved in the elven community is nice, but compared to how it was a few years ago, the elven community is too disparate and centered around a few characters that are rarely around. So I'm going to give it another go, with a new character.
My new character is going to be a Sorceress from Amn. She has only recently come into her powers, and still barely knows how to control them. The circumstances of her discovering her powers were fairly public, and rumors spread quickly about the witch that spoiled the mayor's daughter's coming-of-age party. Mistaking the rumors of witchcraft for reports of an illegally practicing wizard, the Cowled Wizards have begun hunting her. She fled Amn, fearing that if she were caught she would be thrown into Spellhold.
She has a sibling, a twin. The twin has always been devout, to the annoyance of their sister. When the twin was tested for and discovered to had an affinity for the divine, they left for a temple to enter service as a holy knight; a paladin. When the twin heard of their sister's troubles, they left, their initiation barely completed, to find their sister and protect her, wherever she fled to. Their search led them to Cormyr, and they arrived at the border right around the same time their sister had determined to apply for her cormyrian adventurer's license. And so the story of two siblings in Cormyr begins...
I'm looking for someone that would be willing to play the paladin side of this character pairing. The sorceress will probably become my new main, so ideally I'd like someone that can invest a good bit into this character. I've left most of the details open for the player to decide; which god they follow, etc... so the player that takes on this role can flesh out the character how they want to.
