// Hi there. I welcome comments/likes/etc on my journal so please feel free - though I ask that works aren't quoted as it takes up so much space and is distracting. If you need to reference a specific post please just mention the "page number" it was assigned! Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy This is a a finely kept journal. The cover is unadorned soft pale leather, the binding carries the phrase 'The Heart of Hearts' in intricate golden Draconic lettering. The writing within is a flowing mix of draconic, elven and celestial script. Many pages accented with intricate scale patterns, little dragons, various fauna, angels and feathers. ~ The First Page ~ ... is blank ...

Woe unto those that walk the paths, So far from moonlit shore, Gone away from Semberholme Beyond into the west.
Yet afar we find such mystery, And warm our hearts can be, For none can guide the truth of love, And the luring of forgotten history.
So fret not my dear so distant now, On wings of golden grace, We'll find what's lost amid the leaves, The scattered memories of this place.
Now yearn not ye for Semberholme Where peaceful waters rest, The great oaks shall grow yet still While our path wanders though field and hill. ~ This page has a great oak tree etched in, it's vast roots hugging the bottom of the page , trunk up the side, and wide branches stretching out to loom over the words and decorate the top margin. Oak leaves are drawn amidst the words somewhat randomly ~

Lost along the road that weaves, Tradition and the memory, Where have they gone from those that walk, Beyond the sheltered trees?
Long the day of words once shared Now but a glance when happenstance, Bids 'Walk with me and have no fear, Coins and gems a promise here.'
Now gone, and come, and gone again, A face yet no name so common place, Where have the ways of old now passed, When courtesy was the welcomed pace? ~ The margin of the page is host to falling feathers that fan out to cover the bottom of the page, as if caught and blown to tumble in a wind ~

Let us share in gentle words, Those reasons why we've came. For as they ask it must be true, These reasons do remain.
At heart in me, O heart of hearts, For what might I then know, A truth to me in faith of you, Of what might be down the road.
I think on loss and bitter things, Chances passed me by, While I have said I might decide, Tomorrow as it lasts.
And yet forever cannot endure, While each day comes anew, The time will come when gone it is, That chance considered still.
So now I've come to places far, To remember that it's true, While I cannot forget I still can seek Something that is new.
~ The margin of the page is host to an intricate etching of scales that spread out into a wing that curve under the bottom of the poem and stretch back up the other side. ~
