Be it known that in the tendays to come a hearing shall be held for charges raised against Grandmaster Velisario Chrysonomos, the Triadic Order of the Divine Resurrection, and the Temple of the Defenders in Suzail by Sir Edthin Vidry of the Merciful Sword.
Upon my arrival in Cormyr, I shall select a bailiff to serve during the hearing. A qualified bailiff must be faithful to the Triad or the aligned faiths of Helm the Watcher or The Red Knight. Candidates must also be unaffiliated with the Triadic Order of the Divine Resurrection and must be able to serve without bias.
Interested candidates are encouraged to leave written word with the Courthouse, which I shall review upon my arrival.
In the light of Justice, may Truth be revealed.
Desdemona Rand, Hammer of Tyr and Holy Justice of the Fortress Faithful, Tethyr
// Players with qualified characters interested in playing the role of bailiff in the hearing, please send me a PM!

Late in the afternoon on the twenty-ninth day of Eleasias, a horse-drawn wagon comes to a halt at the dusty caravan stop outside the gates of Suzail, Cormyr's capital city. The tired wagon driver exhales quietly, climbs down, and places a plank to span between the distance between the wagon's door and the ground. He reaches up to open the door and his passengers begin to make their way down, setting set foot upon Suzail's soil. His back ached as he began to unload their luggage, handing leather bags, wooden crates, and containers of all sorts to...a Waterdhavian noble, an elven woman, the sell sword that helped to fend off the High Road bandits near Easting, and finally an old withered woman in Tyrran robes who tended the wounds of the mercenary afterword.
The Tyrran woman's bag was the heaviest, though not the largest. Pain shot through the driver's back as he handed the bag to the elderly woman. She took it from him without complaint and smiled apologetically to him.
"Books of divine law, young man. I'm sorry they're so heavy."
"No trouble at all ma'am, you've been a good passenger all the way from Berdusk. Paid in advance too."
He heard himself say the words even if his mind was already traveling to a cold tankard of ale and a warm, young lass in his lap. He'd made enough coin on the journey to hire one of the prettier girls this time.
...
A rooster crowed somewhere nearby in the city when Sebastian approached the Courthouse of Suzail. Most of the city would be rising now, with the sun. Sebastian's job required that he wake before the sun. His hand reached down habitually to the ring of keys suspended from his belt. He had formed this habit years ago during his second tenday on the job when he'd make the walk all the way from his dockside hovel without the keys. He had barely gotten the Courthouse prepared for the day's proceedings in time that day. Now, he could ready the courthouse in half the time and do so in his sleep.
"Good morning young man."
Sebastian dropped the keys onto the cobblestones.
"I didn't mean to startle you. Forgive me."
Sebastian tried not to think of the mugging behind the Obscene Ogre. He forced a polite smile.
"I was just lost in my thoughts ma'am." He scooped up the keys.
"Of course. Are you to judge many cases today?"
"Oh, no ma'am. I'm the seneschal --"
"Excellent. We may proceed at once. My name is Desdemona Rand, Hammer and Holy Justice of Tyr. I have this letter in agreement to grant me use of a study and trial chamber within the courthouse over the course of the next several tendays so that I may preside over a Trial of Faith."
"Yes of course, Holy Justice. Welcome to the Suzail. Please follow me." He reached down to collect her bag - heavy - and unlocked the courthouse door. "You will find everything you require to be in order." Tyr's Eyes, I forgot all about this.
Sebastian took a calming breath. He could do this in his sleep. She'll never know.
"I would review the letters of summons for Sir Edthin Vidry and the bailiff applicants immediately. Also please provide with the name of the Advocate chosen by the Triadic Order."
Damn.
"Of course, please follow me to your study and then I shall fetch the documents."
"And couriers as well. Once the letters are in order I'll want to send them out before the markets open."
"Of course, Holy Justice."

A wagon drives out of Suzail on the 27th of Marpenoth, bearing passengers west. Atop the carriage roof are packages, boxes, parcels, and cases carrying the worldly possessions of those who have staked lives or fortunes on their course. The final stop of the wagon's ride, presuming it crosses all of the miles ahead without being waylaid, is the Fortress Faithful of Tethyr. There it shall deliver the last piece of cargo, a wooden casket made of common pine five feet long by two feet wide.
