*A letter is delivered by hand to Atticus, the receptionist at the War Wizards tower in Suzail*
To whom it may concern,
A group of adventurers including myself, a paladin of Ilmater named Jerek, a hin wizard named Peppi, an elf named Jhessin and a monk named Bethlen encountered something that may require your esteemed attention in the eastern parts of the bramblewood. In a cave home to a tribe of aggressive bugbears, we found a portal or something of the sort, summoning a seemingly endless amount of hooked birdlike beasts, much taller than any of us and very fierce. They were seemingly only summoned while someone was in the room with them. We were unable to close the portal as none Lacked any great mages with knowledge on such matters. There is great danger of such a thing being used for evil should someone learn how to control the creatures or lead them towards a town.
