Height: 5'0"
Weight:About 230 lbs.
Hair color:"Porter" brown
Eye color: "Pub ale" brown
Description:Etched in stone. That is how Dwarves prefer to think of themselves, and if an artisan had sculpted the one before you, then it might be well-deserved.The chiseled brow, under which peer two large dark brown eyes meets a large nose that seems perfectly suited to this craggy face. Scars resulting from natural healing with no assistance from divinity are scattered across his face, giving him quite the formidable look.
Most striking of all may be the large ring of steel braided into his beard. Engraved upon it, in a ring, are Dwarven waraxes. The small, tight-lipped mouth is nearly covered by an impressive mustache but it does not bear the normal grimace commonly attributed to the Stout Folk.
Now it is necessary to discuss the beard itself. It is nearly two feet long, the greater part braided into five thick braids that pass through the steel ring, and the ends are tucked into his belt whenever this Samman goes into battle. While the braids appear uniform, a careful observer will note that the outermost favor a left-to-right arrangement, while the innermost and center braid are right-to-left. The meaning of this might be of clan significance, a symbol of age or wisdom, devotion to a deity, identification of a trade, or something else entirely. In the end, it is likely known only to fellow Dwarves.
A faintly earthy, wood-smoked aroma wafts from the beard, which most people would find pleasant. It is apparent that he maintains his hirsute appearance with oils and regularly brushing out tangles. There is even evidence that some of the protective pomade is fireproof, as Torgar can oft be found repairing his armor and weapons at a forge and while taking normal precautions, does not tie back his beard, simply keeping it tucked into his smithing apron's belt.
His armor and weapons are of the finest Dwarven-make and always well-maintained. He is armed with a masterwork waraxe depicting the scowling visage of Clangeddin Silverbeard. The Dethek runes upon the axe-eye, bisecting main blade and butt-blade, proclaim the maker Kuldrorn himself. The blade is ingeniously constructed to make the most of a Dwarf's upper body strength, making sharp slashing cuts and thrusts effortless. The throat and belly are wrapped in cured troll-hide leather for resiliency.
His masterwork targe shield is of steel with bronze affects on ironwood backing, and the leather facing displays an ornate silvered steel boss:the bellowing visage of Clangeddin as well as three runes, the main one an A, for Alaghor. The other two mean Strength and Honor.
He wears a coat-of-mail from neck to knees with full sleeves. Made of sturdy Dwarvish steel, it can withstand the impact of many edged weapons and even solid blows from warhammers and maces. Protecting his torso is an ornate everbright silvered steel breastplate, bearing this image in silver:
The inscribed Dethek runes upon the axe hafts read "Clan Kuldrorn".
His legs are protected front and back by steel greaves and sabatons, the knees of which are forged into the faces of Dwarves, perhaps ancestors of his clan:
His gauntlets and vambraces depict the same image upon the elbows, and additionally this emblem upon the upper gauntlet:
Those with sufficient lore of the regional history might recognize this as the ancient symbol for Oghrann. This same symbol is depicted upon his slate-grey fur greatcloak, along with the runes ᛏ ᛣ and also written in Dethek:The Hammer falls hard on iron, harder still on foes.
Upon his shoulders he wears pauldrons depicting Clangeddin and his twin axes:
His leather belt and axe-halter are inscribed with silver Dethek runes, which proclaim Clangeddin's dogma.((ASK IC)) His belt buckle is of beaten steel with this symbol in silver:
He wears this same symbol as a medallion around his neck, upon the cover of the orcskin tome chained to his belt, and inscribed in several scales upon his mail coat. One need not be an expert in Dwarf-lore to recognize the symbol for the Father of Battles.
His helm is of everbright mithril with gold inlaid around the eyes and noseguard. This helm is a true work of Dwarven art; covered in depictions of Samman battling their ancestral foes like orcs, goblins, trolls, giants and drow. It's ingeniously made so that it is adjustable, as is the chain "beardcoif" hanging off it that the wearer might never need to take it off but simply loosen it when not in battle.
His voice is a low rich baritone and pleasant to hear. It can be easily discerned over the sturm and drang of battle, where one could imagine this Dwarf spends much of his time.
Upon his belt and seemingly almost as well-cared for as his weapons and armor is a polished mug of pewter with inlaid gold patterns:
