Case 1 The Necromancers Plight

On this day 1377 of our... well my lord, a suicide took place. While venturing with my companion Hadincourt in the crypts we heard a frightening scream then encountered a monstrosity that was not quite dead, but not all the way alive. We battled this monster and finally managed to fell it. With little effort we stumbled upon a ritual site. Several freshly slain corpses lay in a ritualistic fashion, and the body of a mage just a few feet from the ritual area.

Upon his body we found a book which depicted the way in which one could create a self aware undead. With much deliberation we have come to the conclusion that the wizard failed his ritual. The undead he created turned on him which would explain the shriek, and killed him where his body had lain.
