People assembled belay your tongue and lend ear to me now. The Steel Regent, of Cormyr, wishes to honor you with a few words to begin the ceremony. She will take no questions nor tolerate any outbursts.
Anything of that nature will be dealt with swiftly by the Knights of the Purple Dragon and War Wizards in attendance. Lords, Ladies, Vassals, Serf, Freemen, Adventurers and Peasantry alike, I present to you, the Princess Alusair Obarskyr.

Greetings, loyal subjects of the Crown of Cormyr. As many of you know this fine city and her surrounding lands have seen an unfair share of suffering. Once this city was the battleground between Demons and Devils, only later suffer again under the Corrupt Reign of Lord Bloodstill. Then came the time of the Dracorage which tried this Kingdom to its core.
This city has suffered through all of this and yet it was not Thay and her armies that brought you out from the shadow of warring fiends, raging dragons, despot lords, and other hardships, no, that honor belongs to adventurer heroes and to The Knights and War Wizard of Cormyr who showed that a unified Purple Dragon was stronger than them all!
*mixed applause from the audience when it fades she continues*
Having dissolved the Western Reach Accord we appointed a temporary governing council that restored a moderate semblance of peace upon this city. Yet even amidst the peace this city has endured suffering. Most recently in the form of a plague of which the current council offered little remedy, yielding instead to adventures that saved this city yet again.
It is to address these failures that I have come here today to announce a bright new future for Valkur’s Roar and to that end I make the following proclamations.
First, I hereby formally discharge the appointed temporary council and remove them from rule over these lands. Each council member having been given due compensation for their service and all fief’s granted under Lord Bloodstil, having been maintained by the temporary council, are hereby revoked and returned to the Crowns direct homage.
*murmuring from the crowd swells but the continues*
Several of the lords whom held those fiefs have chosen to leave rather than pledge fealty, to the crown through the new leadership. Some noblemen will retain their holdings, after renewing their pledges of fealty as required under the law. Some of the fief's that where revoked have already been filled while those abandoned fief’s will be filled as the new Lord of Valkur’s Roar sees fit.
Second, While the Knights of the Purple Dragon will remain ever vigilant in all the lands Cormyr, I hereby charge the new leader with the primary duties of keep peace in the region and to maintain levies as appropriate to defend his people, lands, holdings, and the interests of the Crown.
Third, order of business, Azorus Crownsilver. Step forward.

I hereby in front of these witnesses and in sight of the good gods, and on behalf of Crown of the Forest Kingdom of Cormyr founded by Ondeth Obarskry, do solemnly charge you with the honor and duty of discharging, the laws of Cormyr as set down from King Faerlhan. Loyal Subjects of Valkur’s Roar, I address now as your Lord and while I speak from a position above your own, I want you to know that I intend to rule with you, not over you. I pledge to you that I will not be deaf to your sufferings, blind to injustice, nor dumb to your needs. I pledge to make the peace, safety, and the wellbeing of everyone in Valkur’s Roar my only priority.
To that end I have divided the obligations, lands, and rights of the fief granted to me into 12 primary fief’s from which I will grant Vassalage and create a council of twelve Lords to represent you, govern you, and advise me.
But before that allow me to introduce my wife the Lady..er.. Baroness Alusantia.

It is with great sadness that I regret than my son Aluxar could not be here. Currently he leads his Company of Knights in a campaign against the retreating forces that razed Moonever. Though in his writing he sends his well wishes and looks forward to embracing his place here with the fine people of Valkur’s Roar.
Allow me then to introduce the Lords and Ladies of Valkur’s Roar, your council members.
Overseeing Imports and Exports, Master of the Docks and waters surrounding Valkur’s Roar, Our defense against the pirates, Lord Frankfurt Rothford. Lord Rothford will retain his position on the council and his previously held fief.

Long time Landlord, Mortimer Gruteje native of Valkur’s Roar, will continue to hold charge over the farm lands to the South of Valkur’s Roar and service on the council of nobles. I have charged him with pressing back those nasty spiders that have drawn to close to your farms.

Landlord, Nate Skatterhawk of the esteemed Skatterhawk family will take over an abandoned fief and oversee the South Western Farmlands, Including the ruined temple. I understand he has some desires to restore it to service. He will also serve on the council.

Landlord, Gerld Huntsilver of the esteemed Huntsilver families has bought the fief pertaining to the farmlands to the North West. He has informed me of his intention to honor all currently held fief without renegotiation of homage. I look forward to see him in council.

Landord Izzak Bursturm ,will step up and take over his father’s fief, overseeing all the farm lands to the North, and the cemetery. He will serve on the council of nobles and we all shall keep his father in our prayers.

The fief of rights over the Mistwoods will return to my direct control until such time as I can appoint council member for it. Any who can produce valid due claim over these lands should come forward and present your claim between now and the Midwinter Festival.

Now, I present to you the Master of the City Interior. Lord Henry Sleff. Henry has promised me a complete review of the leases and rents in order to ensure the people of Valkur’s Roar are treated fairly. I have asked him to see to improving the conditions in the slums.

As you know the position of High Priest in any city in Cormyr has always been surrounded by controversy. Needless to say that is also the case here. Currently the council chair for the High Priest is not filled. I will fill that seat with the councils guidance as is proper but in the meantime, I can assure that whomever we appointing will be required to uphold the fief and obligations to the Baron of Retribution.

I would like to introduce you to the High Wizard of Valkur’s Roar, the Lady Ezmarelda Heldermorn. Lady Heldermorn will have a full seat on the council of nobles and reign over all magical affairs within lands of Valkur’s Roar. In line with my promise of making Valkur’s Roar safer. I have charged her with creating a group of battle mages who will aid the city guard in our defense.

You will be glad to know that your very own Deputy Inquisitor, Vera Gudwerks has been promoted by the Crown to High Inquisitor. She takes a full seat on the Council of nobles and has promised me that the guard will be up to the task, the laws will be upheld swiftly and justly, and crime in Valkur’s Roar will not pay. She asked that I relay to you an open call for those would like to join in the Valkur’s Roar, Guard Reserves to see her in the days to come. Additionally there is a call for skilled investigators also.

Lord Truman Truesilver , has been granted the fief of Banking and Loans. Lord Truesilver will have a full seat on the council and he has assured me his first order of business is to reopen the bank as soon as he can.

Lastly, for today, I give you Master of the Spirts, the Lady Sophie Miller, who takes over her husband’s vineyard and the duties regarding the regulations of the sale of all drinks and taverns within Valkur’s Roar. She has pledge to continue to honor Talbots fief and his Inn will remain open. Further she has entered into negotiations to have another tavern opened in Valkur’s Roar soon.
