Tavern talk in Valkur's Roar mentions that a number of Purple Dragons were slain nearby.
Some tales claim that a handful of Purple Dragons were killed by giant spiders. Or goblins. Or Lizardfolk. Some tales claim that a dozen of Purple Dragons were slain in a pirate raid while others tell that an entire Purple Dragon company were caught in a flash flood from the Dragonmere and drowned in their armor. One tavern patron remarked that demons were left over from the infestation of Redmist years before and is responsible for the massacre.
The tales are dismissed before long as patrons consider the next round... until signs are posted in Valkur's Roar.
Be it known that on the 24th day of Elesias, 1376, that the remains of five Purple Dragons were located within the proximity of Valkur's Roar.
The Purple Dragons were assigned to the region to investigate rumored smuggling operations. The soldiers were last seen alive on Elesias 22nd in Valkur's Roar before returning to the field.
The Office of the High Inquisitor asks to be notified of any information that may shed light into the deaths of these soldiers. Information that proves to be of benefit to the inquiry will be rewarded.
