//OOC stuff: I do apologize for all the misspelled names including the one in the tittle. No it's not Lili Lannes I also like to point out how awesome the rp before was, especially "The venom sisters" Fiona and Kasseta. Others there were Joric, Maneli, Torgar and Brakk.//
So pretty, so fascinating.... so majestic! The shiny scales, strong gaze and the strong but elegant claws! It all mixes up beautifully against the icy cavern and the blood and the bodies... wait what? Blood and .... whose bodies?
Suddenly, I snap out of it. I am still looking at the dragon, but I am in control of my thoughts. It is not even looking at me. Why not? What happened? I dont remember. I dont have time! The others are dead or close to it, I dont see them all!
The dragon grabs Joric with her claw and smashes him against the ceiling. He is dead for sure now. I must interrupt her! I say something incoherent. I am still dizzy! I need time! I speak some more. I dont hear my own words, but I see dragon is not replying.Maybe it doesnt understand me? If I cant communicate with it, what can I do? I cant kill that thing alone!
Anthranoxas: You really like to yap, dirty little halfling?
Response! I need to hurry!
Lili: I am not dirty! I am very clean!
Time! I need more time! Think Lili, think!
Anthranoxas: Yes you are. your hands are stained by the blood of my children.
Oh yes, that....
Lili: How about your own hands?
Big mistake! I can not reason with her like that. I'll only prove she is evil and she will agree and kill me! Stupid stupid Lili!
Anthranoxas: I am giving you count of three, then I come after you.
Eh? What? That makes no sense. Why would she give me a headstart? Why not just.... oh right. The others wounded her. She can kill me, but prefers to intimidate me into leaving. But I would be leaving the others....
Anthranoxas: Three
She hates me. She'll kill me soon. I need a bargaining chip!
Anthranoxas: Two
I got it!
Lili: I have a scroll of raise dead. Yours, in exchange for the bodies of my comrades.
She pauses. I got her now.
Lili: A fair trade. You get one of yours back, I get mine.
Anthranoxas: Place the scroll at my feet
Lili: Fine, but I warn you, I am prepared for treachery
My trusty torch. Oh how many times it has saved me. I hold the torch by the scroll. She wont dare attack. She wants her offspring back desperately.
Anthranoxas: Okay, choose one.
Lili: What? The deal was for them all!
Anthranoxas: I get one, you get one. Bring more scrolls or halfling children if you want more than one.
Lili: That was not the deal! I want them all!
Anthranoxas: You can get one or you can die.
I bring the torch closer to the scroll. The dragon doesnt flinch, but doesnt attack either. Which of us is bluffing? I dont know!
Lili: We agreed on them all! I am not budging!
Anthranoxas: It's the count of three again, for my patience grows thin.
The unthinkable happens. My torch sputters! I wave it lightly to hide the fact, but I have just seconds. Can I rescue the rest if I get one. Can I? Think Lili, think.... yes I can! Torgar!
Lili: Okay. The dwarf.
I drag him out. I dont have a raise scroll left anymore, but surely Torgar has! I will raise him, he can raise others with his spells even if he doesnt have many scrolls. I can distract the dragon.... we have a real shot here! I will discuss those options with him, it'll work out.... but where is that scroll? Ah, his scrollcase. Orderly and neat. It should be right.... no, not there. I check the case, I find nothing I understand. I check his other things.... he doesnt have a scroll! How can I .... I cover my face with my hands. I am beaten. I can do nothing alone.
Wyrmling: Squeek!
Silly little thing attacks me. I kick him in the wing. I am about to snap his spine next, but instead grapple him.... there is one last desperate measure to try....
Lili: Dont worry little one, I wont hurt you. Lets go see mummy.
Again I stare the dragon in the eye....
Lili: Hey Whitey. Look what I found.
Anthranoxas: I said bring halfling children, not one of my own.
Lili: Yes, well, we are kind of lacking on trust in these agreements. How about you give me my comrades now and this little wyrmling will not be harmed.
I can not lie, I am not a good liar. I need to bluff him without lying. She doesnt know I wont hurt the little wyrm.
Anthranoxas: Then you will die.
Lili: Fine! Lets see if you value the life of your child more than I value mine!
I stand against the advancing dragon. It's a bluff. Maybe not, but I am out of options. I am calling her bluff and getting them all back! If she backs up now, she's giving them all back! What's all that white stuff....
//Anthranoxas won, but in the glorious second place came little Lili. I loved every moment of it and all the xp and gold and kits and the scroll were so worth it! Big thanks to DM Hawkrune for keeping it dramatic and the dragon was totally badass, like dragons are ment to be. The death in the end was just how it had to end. Some stories are sad, it matters not, for this was a great story!//
