I am starting this thread as to provide a location to store some of the OOC rules and explanations for the IC games I have thought of and used for the Sunite Revels or just general games related to the use of the dice bag.
As a side note for this thread I would actually appreciate it if people avoided posting here as to make it easy to access the information and not have read through random posts. If anyone has questions or anything about what's posted in this thread, feel free to PM me.

Skipping Stones
______________________________________________________ This game can be a casual activity a character can do to pass time while alone, as a casual activity while talking, or as a competition. Skipping stones is a activity commonly performed by a body of water such as a river or lake, by tossing a rock at the water's surface. The DC for skipping the stone is a dexterity roll (Or wisdom roll for Zen Archery) of 7, with the DC going up by 2 points for each successful skip, until the DC is failed. The failed DC counts as the last skip. So the equation should look like this. 1d20 + (Dexterity Modifier) ≥ 7 + 2XX = Times the rock has skipped. ______________________________________________________
Example Round 1: Rocky rolls his dice and rolls a 7 and adds a 3 for his dexterity modifier. His total is then 10 which is greater than a 7 starting DC, so his stone skips at least once. Round 2: Rocky rolls his dice to see if his stone skips again. Since the rock skipped once all already he increases the DC he needs to beat by an additional 2 points, to a total of a DC of 9. Rocky rolls a 20 and adds his 3 dexterity modifier to get a total of 23, which is higher than 9, so the stone skipped at least a second time. Round 3: The DC to beat goes up by an additional 2 points, to become a new total of 11. Rocky rolls a total of 11, which is equal to 11 so the stone skipped at least 3 times. Round 4: The to beat goes up by an additional 2 points, to become a new total of 13. Rocky rolls a total of 5 points, which is less than the DC of 13, so the stone sinks on its fourth skip. So Rocky skipped his stone four times before it sank. ______________________________________________________ Additional Rules - Rolling a solid 1 is an automatic fail, regardless of the total.
- Rolling a solid 20 is an automatic success, regardless of the total.
- Hins gain an additional +1 due to their total roll due to their racial ability of gaining +1 to their attack roll with thrown weapons/slings.
- Characters with the Zen Archery feat may use their wisdom modifier in place of dexterity.
______________________________________________________ RP Tips - The activity is best done by a large body of calm water.
- The rougher the body of water the heavier the stone may need to be to plow through the water without being knocked off coarse.
- Palm-sized flat, skinny, round rocks skip the best.
