A current description of Kyie will be edited here at the top of the story shortly after the server comes back up. I need some of the notes from her IG note page before i do so,lol
WATERDEEP (Year 1315), age is now 70
The sun had barely peeks over the horizon of The Sword Coast, casting those first dim sky bluish lights over the harbor. Smells of fresh baked breads teased at the young elf's stomach as she watched the hustle and bustle of the morning merchants opening shops within the Trade Ward. It always amazed her how so many people could be so busy before the sun had fully risen. Baskets of breads and fruits lined the outsides of so many merchant shops. She nearly drooled at the thought of biting into a nice juicy apply, but before the saliva could actually build, she watched as two human boys, maybe the ages of eight and nine, poked out from one of the Allys. They were only three strides from the nearest bread basket. Kyie, nearly seventy years of age (110 being an adult elf, equal to 15 as an adult human) dressed in simple clothing of dark brown colors. Her straight black hair was all one length, it hung unkept like over her face and dropped to about mid back. Only the points of her ears stuck out while most of her average elven facial features remained hidden. Her appearance was exactly that of her and her family, the "not wealthy at all" Waterhavians. She brushed aside some lengths of hair as she watched the two boys make a dash for the basket, snatching up four pieces of bread and quickly scurrying back into the ally from which they came. "THIEVES", the cry came from inside the bread owners shop as the bulky old man came crashing out onto the street, followed by what must have been his wife and perhaps their son. A crowd quickly formed around as the merchants cussed and pointed fingers down the ally for the fast coming city watch to take up chase. The young elf stood, watching the commotion briefly when she realized she might be able to get a loaf herself while everyone was distracted. So like a little Innocent elven child, she simply walked right through the crowd, right up to the basket and as she past, reached for her first piece of stolen goods. Home was in The trade Ward, not to far from the intersection of Spindle Street and The Coffinmarch. But she had a friend she wanted to visit in The City of the Dead. Kyie made her way along the gravel path, passing green lawns and white marble tombs. Eventually, after walking half the length of the "several century" old cemetery, she finally reached the site in the most south eastern corner of the grounds. She had been visiting everyday for three weeks now. Kyie knelt down in front of the small cheap headstone and said a quiet prayer for her friend. " Tymora, i pray you are taking care of Tryn. His life was takin at such a young age, he didn't get to see the world as we had planned. We were both going to travel together, but one of the thief clans broke into his home, murdered his family and him, and after looting every possible thing they could get coin for, they burnt their home to the ground". She pauses, whimpering quietly for her friend she missed so much. " I one day will find who did this Tryn, and I promise, each will burn". She broke her piece of bread in half and layed half on the still somewhat fresh grave site. " I will see you tomorrow Tryn".
Kyie, the still very young elven girl half wiped some hair out of her face and glanced down at the head stone, then turned and headed back up the gravel path and back into the Trade Ward.

later that same dayKyie had been walking the streets of Waterdeep when she noticed a couple city guards carrying the two boys that had ran of with stolen breads. She smirked a little to herself thinking how the pro's got caught, and she, a first time steeler got away with it. Not much else of interest happened this day, and night was beginning to fall over the City of Splendors. So, Kyie turned and starting making for home when her thoughts floated off to a time when the family was wealthy and mother wanted a home so bad in the Sea Ward only to be close to the second largest Temple in all of Waterdeep, The Temple of Tymora. The Tower of Luck stood so grand in the mornings as the rising sun would flicker off it like dancing lights. Mother was a priestess of Tymora, and father, a, well, lets just say they both retired from many adventures which brought them to easily afford a home in The Sea Ward. Kyie was smiling large while in these thoughts. Imagining and remembering the days of never missing a hot meal, wearing the best of clothing coin could purchase, and attending private schools that only the wealthy could enjoy. Soon, the large smile formed to a flat look as she approached the families modest home in the Trade Ward. It was a single story wooden structure with two rooms, with another family dwelling located directly above, which was never quiet as the fat family above always seemed to be stomping about arguing to no end. " Kyie, where have you been?" Came her mothers voice. " You've missed your studies five straight days now." This was her welcome home for the past week. " Whats for dinner?" came her reply as she moved to her seat at the small table. " Well, i managed something special tonight." As she brought over a plate of Roasted Cockatrice which was stuffed with celery and thyme as well as a side of greens. Kyie did manage a smile until she bit into it and realized it was cooked without wine. " Why do we have to live here, I hate it and the kids in the Sea Ward do nothing but laugh at me. I HATE IT" She stormed out of the house, leaving her mother and father looking to one another with some concern, and what seems to be heavy sorrow. But neither gave chase for they knew Kyie would come back.

10 Years later (Year 1325), age now 80
Kyie had been raised on Tymora's faith by her mother. Every morning for as long as she could remember, they would pray to Lady Luck. After morning prayers Kyie would would have study time. Learning things ranging from the Faerunian Pantheon, healing herbs, and the importance of clergy, to responsibilities, friendship and trust. When her studies were done, she could take a break for a couple hours and do as she pleased before walking to the Tower of Tymora and helping for the remainder of the day with Temple duties. However, over the years, she has been missing more and more of her study time and simply heading to the streets of Waterdeep and getting street smart against her parents wishes.
5 years later (Year 1330), age now 85
While still practicing her faith in her years of wandering the streets, Kyie had come to enjoy helping one of the merchants with deliveries. Ohhh how she loved listening to their conversations of bartering and the wheeling and dealings of trade. She would gain some of this knowledge, but practice it very little. One such delivery led her to The Red Gauntlet in The South Ward. The Tavern was dimly lit and many quiet discussions were always to be had.
The little elven girl wore dull colors this day as she strolled into the tavern, she looked about for her customer as described by the merchant she was running the errand for. The stepped inside a few more steps when she was flagged down by a small man well dressed sitting at a table alone not so far from the entrance. Kyie perked up some and like the innocent child many viewed her as, she wasted no time and made contact. "Good day sir" Her voice not so quiet caught the attention of the nearby table patrons. The man leaned in and in a low voice "did anyone stop you, or follow you on your way here?" he questioned her. She shrugged and replied "don't think so Mr." Rubbing his face he took a few moments to ponder, then glanced towards the door, but no new comers entered. He reached for the package she carried and glanced in "Did you open this?" She looked in shock "Of course not sir, it is not mine" They continued on in hushed voices which she seemed to start to enjoy as if this was some sort of secret game. He watched her for a long while in silence until he finally made up his mind and gave her a pouch with bank notes. The amount was unknown as she didn't look, but he did slip fifty gold coin in a side pocket of hers which she found when she got home. He slapped her on the butt "Get on out of here child, this is no place for you, and your trinkets are worthless here". He said in a raised voice. Kyie looked confused briefly at him but scurried on out after seeing the look on the mans face. Quickly she made for the merchant to deliver the pouch she received and hurry back the temple in which she was running late. Work like this would continue and grow over the next several years. Though 95% of her work was that of delivering food to homes of the elderly. The coin she made from her deliveries she saved under a loose floor plank back home.
5 years later (Year 1335), age now 90
It was during these years Tymora had granted Kyie with but a few abilities to which she was so very proud of herself. It came as a surprise to her one evening while walking home late after having spent the better part of the day at the temple helping with a beat up party of adventurers and bandaging them up. This was something that occurred often within the temple, but not something Kyie got to help with as much as she wished. But she felt useful when she did and thanked Tymora for giving her the opportunity to show her skill as a youngster. But walking home and cutting through alleys to shorten her trip home, she heard low whispers and the sound of hushed boots coming closer. "Light" she yelled out in hope luck would be on her side this night. And to her surprise, the alley lit up as if day light itself had filled the darkness. She found three small forms almost upon her when they skidded to a stop and spun about, leaving as quickly as they had started their attack. Kyie of course didn't wait around to see what would happen next, but she turned and ran as fast as she could the remained of her way home.
"mother, father", she came crashing in with excitement. "Watch this, you wont believe your eyes..... LIGHT" she yelled out with a smile so big one might think she was living back home in the Sea Wards as they had in the distant past. Her parents both jumped up from relaxing on the family couch, startled by the sudden disturbance. Then each tilted their heads briefly as nothing happened. Again, kyie says "Light", and again nothing happened. "I swear, i swear I did it in an alley on my way ........." She was cut off, "An alley? We told you NOT to take the alley ways after night fall Kyie, they hold more dangers than you could even begin to understand" Said her father a little more than upset. "But that's not the point, i made the alley light up, and it scared off the intruders that were, umm....... probably just gonna run by me" She nods with a grin.
Later that evening Kyie's mother came into her room and had a talk with her about Lady Luck, her faith, and the Divine abilities she grants to those she finds promising. Kyie would find herself in longer prayer each morning, helping more in the Temple, which pushed her deliveries later into the night.

10 Years Later (Year 1345, Year of the Saddle), age now 100
From behind a barrel Kyie peeked up as fires burned through Waterdeep and looters were breaking into stores and homes grabbing what they could. Flashes of old memories kept coming into her thought. Thirty year old memories of Tryn and his family being murdered, their home being burned down. Memories of watching three hooded figures escaping the home with full sacks of stolen property out the side window just before she had tried to break down the front door to help her best friend and parents.
Everything was a kind of haze, voices around her more like slow motion mumbles of panic. Then briefly things would speed up as if moving twice a fast as they should be. People zipping by terrified. As real time seemed to come back to her, emotions violently overwhelming her with sorrow, anger and revenge.............
Kyie didn't know what to do and she found herself in the middle of the street filled with screams and people of all sorts running in every direction. The City Watch and the City Guards along with the help of regular citizens worked in an unorganized frenzy to put out flames while poor families, thieves, whole organizations tore through buildings of all sorts looting any small valuables they could carry.
In the darkness the smaller fires created erie glows through out the city. It was something Kyie hadn't noticed as she took up to running as fast as she could. She just wanted to escape the screams and cries of the burning people, get away from the crimes being committed on not just the wealthy, but the not so wealthy as well. In the background, but beyond sight, The Spires of the Morninglord came crashing down. Lathanders church now just a pile of rubble and ashes.
Two more temples fell that evening, The House of Heroes to fires and the subterranean temple of Shar to sacking. It was the longest night to many Waterhavians and for some it never seemed to end, while for others it ended in horror as they burned alive or maybe with a dagger in the back.
That following morning Kyie finished her morning prayers and and told her parents she was heading to the Temple. The walk was a long one so against her parents wishes she always used alleys to shorten the trip. Todays walk would be different, and take quite a bit longer with all the rubble laying about the city. Many alleys were not passable, but sometimes she didn't realize it until she walked down them a ways. One alley she startled a group of men, one older and four young adults, all human as they hunched low and looking as if they were splitting up coin. She was alone, and all five of them stood up looking at her as if she just done fecked up. Kyie smiled "Hello". She said when she noticed one of the men wearing a pendant Tryn's mother gave him for his sixtieth birthday. Her eyes narrowed and she made it a point that he caught her staring at the pendant. Then she bolted back the way she came, and having a good head start she had zero problems getting back into the crowded streets and losing them.
Over the next several years Kyie worked hard in locating the man again, but ironically, no luck. She wasn't going to give up as she made a promise to Tryn. She had finally decided she needed something that would give her access to information, ties, and the underground networks of the shady dealers.

**I have edited in a total of 2 post now above this one and moved this post down accordingly. **
11 Years later (Year 1356), age now 111
"Crap, crap, crap", "I am blaming you Kyie", "Shut up and run you idiots", The three companions complained as they did their best to out smart the City Watch on their own streets, or least they thought it was their streets.
Each of the three elven companions traveled light, sporting dark clothing, boots easy for running, and backpacks which where now full of stolen property. As planned, once coming upon Haltovar Street and Runers Alley, they split up quickly to throw off the City Watch giving chase.
The time was around mid-night, so alleys worked well as the street lights were of little help to those in persuit of runners. "Guard, guard," Came a cry from a young adult human female that layed on the corner just before the alley entrance as if knocked over. A basket of what seemed to be personal things sprawled about the dimly lit street. "Thieves, two of them, they went north through Runer's Alley" She pointed in the direct she spoke of. One, Kyie, had gone south into the alley while the other two did dash north. The alley branched again, one leg still heading north while the second leg broke off to the east. Of course the two elven runners each took their own path.
Of the four City Watch giving chase, one stopped to help the knocked over human female, which turned into a mess of questioning as the City Watch wasn't always as stupid as one might think. "We were chasing three, and you stated two." The Watchman took notice of the items laying about and helped the lass up. "It happened so quick sir, i only had seen two" She lied. "What are you doing in the streets so late, and alone at that?" Asked the Watchman with scrutiny. "I worked late tonight and was on my way home, I live just up by Ivory Street." She explained as she bent down to pick up her things, all the while revealing a good amount of of breast in the process. Men being men, he quick got down to her level and helped her pick up her things, trying to get a better look. "Would you like an escort home malady", " No no, just catch those awful thieves before they get away with what ever crime they have committed, please." As they both stood, the City Watchman gave her one last long look, then took up chase heading north through the alley once more. "Be careful walking home Malady" He says with much repsect as this IS the Sea Ward where many of the wealthy reside.
Further up a couple also layed out on the street where Haltovar Street and The Sutheriane meet "Those bastards" Barked the male on the ground. "The thief grabbed my wife's purse and continued north, and I seen another exit the alley just south of here and continued across to Whim Street" He lied on both accounts. Neither of the three Watchman stopped to help them, and they gave further chase to the directions given. A few moments later as the two stood and wiped themselves off, the fourth Watchman came running up, again the couple both pointed and he dashed off into the darkened alley across the way.
The plan had worked perfect, allowing the three companions to slip away in the dark of the alleys.
(To be continued)
