I've been lurking about awhile, learning as much as i can from within the server and without before i really begin roleplaying here. I'm about ready to set up a serious character as i finalize my move to this server from another, but first i have a few questions i could not find anywhere else. (Please point me to them, if i missed them!)
1) Would it be possible or acceptable to roll a Halfling for it's model, while roleplaying a human who, for one reason or another, is very small? As in being short, young, or a coyote hit with an anvil.
2) Assuming an in-game biography stating such and the proper character to reflect it would not be enough to justify it, would there be any way to obtain the halfling model itself, while playing a human PC?
Also, what do people think about roleplaying younger characters, who also aren't superwizards or mighty warriors with giant swords?

I'll try to sum this up as shortly as possible.
1) The DMs won't allow that. You pick a race to play that race, not to represent something else with it. Biographies work wonders for oddball things like that.
2) The DM team doesn't allow children or pregnancy, so the logical conclusion is that no characters under adult age should be permitted. This is a PG-13 server, but mature themes are still expressed. Torture and sexuality are available by consent. Make a character that's not a hero, but do not make children.
That's what I get from years of being on these forums and watching several similar requests come up. Maybe things have changed, but I doubt it.

I don't think anything has changed and you summed it up pretty well.

Thanks for the quick responses!
I didn't think i had come across anything buried in the forums, so my best bet was to ask. Generally speaking, do people pay attention to character bios here on Cormyr? Many places i have played they are, like dicerolls, sadly overlooked during roleplay, and folk tend to over-state their physical characteristics all the time.

It depends on the person. The best place for background story and stuff like that is the forum. The IG stuff I view as a more "what you see ICly" than an OOC letcha know. If an IG bio is extremely long and shows a story I personally don't read it because I prefer to find out IC stuff, ICly!
Hope that helps!

Absolutely! Good food for thought and some guidelines, thank you.
