A moon elf of undetermined age sits in the corner of the Regal Griffon Inn twirling a small token through her fingers long after an elf wearing the garb of Labelas Enoreth leaves her to her thoughts.
"I honestly feel more comfortable around humans..." she had told Lustig shortly before Entori noted her grim mood and beckoned her over.
After hearing his words of encouragement she began to examine what she said to Lustig. Perhaps she just needed to be more patient. Perhaps that was why she clashed with so many of her own kind. It was refreshing to hear another elven wizard encourage her study where her own family had turned her away...it filled her with an emotion she was still relatively new to her despite her decades of travel. Hope.
"Labelas grant me patience, so they might see someday" she prayed silently to herself before tucking her spell book away, "Help me forgive them for judging me so."
She creeps off to the inn rooms to drift into a restless reverie.

Gaelin had done it.
Made her feel again...the emotions she thought were long brushed back so she could continue her studies.
She knew what she had done was wrong, come to terms with it long ago and prayed the seldarine would not cast her out and yet, this paladin seemed to see something in her.
So perceptive despite his years and so encouraging. He called her a hero for her mortality....her ability to fight through temptation despite not being called by any god.
She did not deserve such companions. She did not deserve joy. She had simply assumed her state would appease the seldarine....her wandering ease there anger.
But now, all things were beginning to change.
She left him in skullcrag to rest and a note with the innkeeper simply thanking him for his faith.

She would prefer to keep her distance but it appeared with everything she learned of him she would have to share of herself as well.
The interaction intrigued her on a very deep level. She had finally truly surprised him...left him speechless with her response to his simple question "What are you thinking?" but she had been entirely honest in her response. She had taken a gamble to see his reaction...given of herself to learn of him.
His reaction was well worth it.
"How handsome you are in this moment." She replied smiling faintly
Sometime later he theorized on her behavior,
"I feel like you are testing me" he asked as they sat on a ridge overlooking the lake.
Nienna looked over to him realizing of course that he was right. She -was- testing him.
"When i figure out why i will let you." she replied honestly.
She managed to bite back the hundreds of questions that filled her mind to enjoy there time together all the while a palpable tension filling the very air between them.
It was intoxicating.

She stared at the elf, barely able to hold back her hatred.
Nakiasha quietly pleaded for Nienna to be patient but she could barely hear her over the sound of her heart beating in her ears and the venomous promises of death at the traitors hands. Several spells came to mind, perhaps a fear to embarrass her for saying such things. Perhaps something else....
She clenched and unclenched her right fist trying to keep a handle on herself. Nakiasha spoke again, quietly reminding Nienna to be patient with followers of the black archer.
A struggle took place in her heart. Several decades ago Nienna would have cast upon the elf to teach her a lesson without question, displayed her refusal to tolerate such treatment. Some sort of enchantment to silence her and put her in her place. Even darker thoughts came to mind...memories of the past. Nienna swallowed hard.
No, she would not cast. This one was not worth the trouble it would cause. She would find another way to affect the sheverashan, to make her think. Nienna would not squander the good will of a priestess for this brat.
The elf spitting venom at Nienna was obviously in pain, Nienna could see it written all over her face. She tried to work through it by blindly killing the drow. Committing herself like a sheep to a cause that would ultimately lead to her death and a life without joy. "A pointless existence, a waste..." She thought.
Nakiasha slowly walked over to the offender and spoke quietly with her.
All Nienna could do to keep control was walk away. She slammed the inn door shut behind her.
