Once in this square, not so long ago that it would be lost to memory, stood four heros. What they did for the people of this town should not be forgotten. They were taken down. And what happened to that tribute?
If you have any information on where they rest, in pieces or parts or whole. Remade or melted. If you know what happened to those statues, I would pay for information.
Please seek me out.
~Yulena, Namer of Oghma.

Added to the bottom of the notice:
The tale you seek is best heard from the source who ordered the eye sores removed. I am often found in Valkur's Roar.

*The note has been removed and a fresh one has been pinned*
Once in this square, not so long ago that it would be lost to memory, stood four heros. One man alone who couldn't stand the sight of them had them removed because he knew that he could never measure up to them.
Ranan, to the victor go the spoils. You lost. I'll be seeking you out on this account soon.
I am willing to pay for any information to anyone else but Ranan Hallomein, who is a deceiver and thus his information has no value.
Please, if you know anything about what happened to that tribute- for I know Ranan didn't actually remove the statues himself. Rarely does he allow his own hands to be dirtied. I would pay well for what knowledge.
If you have information on where they rest, in pieces or parts or whole. Remade or melted. If you know what happened to those statues, please seek me out.
~Yulena, Namer of Oghma.

"By the Infinite Tome! A chance to repay my debt." , he exclaims.

As dusk falls, Ranan wanders into Talbot's Inn shuffling through the posted notices. He softly smirks eying the latest propaganda. With a tug he pulls the parchment from its spot on the board and walks over to the bar.
Evening Talbot..... an empty plate if you will.
As the plate is placed on the counter, Ranan takes a candle from the closest table placing it alongside the plate, laying the parchment on top of the plate.
You know old 'friend', it pains me to read such... accusations.
Ranan sighed in a dramatic manner to emphasize his point, at the same time bringing the flame of the candle to the corner of the parchment, watching the flickering fire slowly consume the document.
Tis unfortunate that one of Oghma would choose to ignore history truths merely because she has chosen to judge those acts. Does not seem true to the ideal of merely seeking knowledge does it?
It appears this little Oghmite may not be fully aware of the history of Valkur's Roar.... or the former independent Redmist.
Ranan chuckled before sliding the plate aside letting the flames burn themselves out.
Should the young Lady Yulena return, please inform her that we can speak when she wishes. In fact... it has been some time since I have had a decent conversation with her.
Perhaps this would be an opportunity for me to host a lovely dinner honoring her nuptials with Kelric. I was never invited to the wedding for some odd reason... and the last I recall, they were both trying to avoid me. Strange isn't it?
Very well, then. Talbot please relay that message to her next she passes through and you can prepare the food, drink. Spare no expense of course.... we shall share the tale of Redmist's strength and freeing themselves of the oppressor.
Now then, if you would not mind, my usual.
Ranan took his lager, uncorked it there at the bar and left behind several gold lions before walking over to his table.

And in the brighter morning, perhaps one or two days later, Yulena eventually did come back to check the note. She did not look surprised to see the parchment missing.
“Yes, breakfast would be welcome Talbot, thank you.”
So she sat at the bar and enjoyed her simple meal, and eventually Talbot told her of the message he was paid to relay- though if anyone were watching, he probably looked put out to do so.
Her dark hair was neatly plated back from her face and her calm expression could be also described as calculating.
“Thank you for your delivery.”
As morning light streamed through the nearby window, Yulena took out a bit of paper, a capped bottle of ink, and quill. There she wrote a note in flowing letters of a hand well practiced. She even bothered to take the time to seal the letter with a bit of melting wax and stamp from a ring on her left hand.
The Oghmite handed over the letter, with a generous tip in addition to the price of food and message delivery. And so it waits for Ranan, ready and waiting, with it clearly addressed to him.
