" I see your Inn has been restored, Talbot." Smiled Elizabeth as she made idle talk before buying a key. Walking upstairs and into her room.
She moved towards the nightstand and began to remove her things from the trip before. Unfastening that stake holstered belt of hers, setting down a few vials of water along the desk, finally placing the mallet beside the belt. " These wooden stakes arn't going to get the job done. She mused to herself a little, inspecting the wooden stakes as she sat on her bed.
A slow inspection of the rest of her tools soon followed, testing their durability, breaking points and any impurities they might hold while muttering to herself " Jeric.. Diane, hope you like the taste of wood. She chuckled some then got ready for bed, cautiously she encircled her bed with cloves of garlic.
The next morning, Elizabeth eagerly rose from her bed and made her way towards the Great Hall, looking for Tanya.

" Here you go, Malus. I'll be sure to contact you for any other work." Elizabeth smiled, holding onto an old tome made of stiff leather. Watching the hin go with the bounty offered, Elizabeth quickly made her way to the Regal Griffon.
Securing the little table near the stairs she opened the old journal and began reading what she could. Though only about half way through the journal did she find something that caught her interest.
“ I don’t know what has happened to me. . . I remember the dark man from the tower east of the village saying he would make me special. . . Nothing is the same for me anymore. . . I am so hungry. . . I think my name used to be Damian. “
By coincidence some few months after discovering the chilling passage she found herself with an adventuring company east of Greatgaunt in the Mistwood.
“ Entry 1.
After clawing our way through the ruined temple east of Greatgaunt had no indications of any vampire activity.. Oddly I believe we stumbled upon a hybrid form of zombies during our visit…I hope to bring my search deeper into the Mistwood next time. A local druid spoke of a tower in the southwestern part of the woods, there will be my next stop. ”

Five warriors rushed through the undead ridden crypts outside Valkur's Roar, the harrowing moaning and dreaded undead chased closely behind.
"Keep running!" Shouted Elizabeth back at Lokasenna, Len, Lysus and the fallen comrade Starla. Elizabeth rushed ahead and dealt with a few possessed armors while the others trailed closely behind. Steel clashed with one another as they fought they were to survival. Climbing out of the ruined crypt Elizabeth reached out and helped the others get free from the clutches of the undead.
With everyone out safely she slammed the door shut, it was then they noticed one had not made it. "Where's Lokasenna?" Asked the crew.. Taking a moment of silence they prepared to lose a brave soul--until hearing the clangs of steel and the heroric efforts of the lost-warrior. When the gate was opened Lokasenna came rushing through. Again Elizabeth slammed the gate shut and jumped back from reaching zombie hands through the grates.
Later in the evening Elizabeth jotted down. "Journal Entry 36.
We managed to rescue a fallen comrade today from the depths of some ruined catacomb. The level of undeath that plagues that place of recent is growing in numbers and power.. I can't help but think Lady Diane has something to do with the appearance of greater undead such as Bodaks. We found nothing however which gave any solid evidence of Diane's involvement. I'm beginning to suspect she has created a few thralls to do her evil work...Without solid evidence I can't imagine bringing this up to Arianna.. I can hear it now "Elizabeth... She is a noble and not just an ordinary noble but a duchess."..."
Elizabeth ended the entry when she heard a knock at her door. When she opened the door she saw a child standing out there handing her a letter which she paid for with five coins.

Elizabeth sighed in frustration as her expirment failed, her morningstar simply crushing into a skeleton breaking it down. Taking a deep breath she looked at her newly acquired tool with a lopsided frown.
Later in the evening she found herself at Talbot's. Patrons of the bar gave it a lively night. After enjoying a few drinks and evesdropping on various conversations she decided to retire for the night.
"Entry 41,
I was fortunate enough to acquire a powerful tool earlier today at a good price, though I'm still confused as to... well how it works. I'm beginning to think it may need a re-blessing. I'll need to get this tool working before I'm to continue plans.
I've explored the crypts on the outskirts of Valkur's Roar and have found nothing which links Lady Diane. Interestingly enough I've heard rumors of a crypt far south of Valkur's Roar near the sea.. Hopefully within I'll find atleast some clues."

Elizabeth smiled after sharing a long conversation with Marishka. Later in the evening Elizabeth found herself in Immersea to deliver a letter. During her stroll throughout the city she thought back to what Marishka told her. "How does Jarech hold control over the Lycan's..." She thought while browsing for some food.
When Winston returned to her she quickly retired to her room at the Inn. Taking out her journal she wrote
"Entry 46,
Marishka gave me valuable information today pertaining to both Lady Diane and her patriarch Jarech. I was informed that Jarech has seized control over lycan's in the area. I'll need to assemble a group to confront the Blackbloods of the Darkwood. A dangerous lead but my only lead."
Elizabeth took a deep breath and began preparing her tool satchel with silver trinkets and other were-bane assorted equipment. In the morning she threw on her overcoat and tuck that hat firmly on her head making her way back towards Greatgaunt.

Elizabeth and Kesa exchanged words with Talbot for a while. Elizabeth happy about the information she received left towards her room. When she got there she took off her chainshirt and laid her tool belt on the dresser. Taking a deep breath she opened her journal and wrote.
" Entry 51,
Earlier today I traveled into the depths of the Valkur's Roar ruin. Kesa, Quynn and I encountered a strange woman named Mirra Langston which we suspected something... Off. Talbot greatly aided me today.... Informing us that Mirra Langston and Diane are known acquintances. If I'm to get closer to Diane I must find Mirra once more..."
Elizabeth fiished her short entry and went to bed, tossing and turning all night while images of success plagued her imagination.
