To Watcher Gerard Rekurno,
It has been many moons since last we spoke, and I hope this letter finds you well, though I have not light news to share. This evening past, one who claimed your faith, bearing the symbol of the Watcher, was slain in Greatgaunt. The witnesses who saw it say he deserved his death, but I wonder if you wished to investigate it further, for it seems against the nature of your faithful what he did.
I will speak with you further upon this, if you so desire. Else I have for you the symbol that he bore, which if it was carried falsely, ought to be given to one who would bear it more rightly.
May a favorable wind blow at your back, Oenemi Hawksong

Gerard Rakurno passes through Greatgaunt, casting his watchful eye over the various commoners assembled, and passes into the Regal Griffon Inn. He orders honey mead, making sure to note that it is to be none too strong, and Kale hands him the letter. He persuses it, his brow furrowing.
"A Watcher slain in Greatgaunt... Perhaps the aggression towards the Vigilant One's faithful is more prevalent than I had thought." He drinks from his bottle of mead, savoring its sweet taste, and rubs his clean-shaven chin. "She is correct. An investigation must be performed. The Watcher of All would demand a fair trial, and only with proper investigation can such be held. Kale, a quill if you would, and a clean parchment? My thanks, good sir."
The paladin puts pen to paper, and scribes the following, in militaristic Chondathan writing:
Lady Oenemi,
It is fine to hear from you once more, although the circumstances are dire. It troubles me to hear of one of my faithful put to the sword, and I pledge my assistance, in the name of the Vigilant One, in any investigation that is to take place.
You have my most gracious gratitude for your correspondence. It is fortunate that such kind and noble people still frequent the village of Greatgaunt. I shall meet with you within the tenday, and we shall discuss the possible measures that can be taken between ourselves and the local law enforcement.
Once more, you have my thanks. May the Vigilant One watch over you always,
Gerard Rakurno, Watcher.
