~Be it Known~
That on this Seventh Day of Ches, 1374, blatant criminal acts of violence were carried out in Greatgaunt.
Two members of the Red Raven Mercenary Company and Two Members of the Greatgaunt watch were cut down or spell-blasted within the Red Ravens post. A prisoner held by the Red Ravens, one Zekiel Di'Mastaine, was nowhere to be found following the carnage. Di'Mastaine was held for acts of violence, arson, and proclaiming a disallowed faith within Cormyrean bounds.
The Red Ravens post was set on fire. Merriss, druid of Silvanus, summoned a rain storm to douse the flames, but not before significant damage was done to the property and several passers by were burned.
During the turmoil there was a reported sighting of a giant monster making its way through the village. Several other citizens and Militia were slain near the East Gate and on the edge of the Bramblewood.
Clerics are doing all that they can for the slain and the wounded.
A man meeting this description was observed standing beside the Red Ravens post before the it caught fire: "The man I saw was dress in the robes of a Jergalite priest. He had his hood pulled down low so I didnt see his face in the dark but he was of human height."
The escaped prisoner Zekiel Di'mastaine is wanted for the fulfillment of his sentence, other charges, and questioning.
Any information that may reveal the identities of those responsible for these heinous crimes should be brought to my attention.
Sir Callen, Greatgaunt Militia
