*A message penned in in a delicate script is delivered to the barracks of the Purple dragons in Suzail and reads as follows*
To whom it may it may concern...
I have sent this letter ahead to warn you of a great and impending danger to one of your villages near your border. The village of Greatgaunt is threatened by a maddened spell caster. I know little of the creature personally, only that he is a gnome spell weaver of terrible power that has declared the doom and destruction of the village of Greatgaunt, and unfortunately, seems well equipped to the task. The spell caster commands seemingly endless droves of magical constructs that have been attacking the village and threaten to overwhelm the locale's defenses. It surely would have fallen already had not a good number of vagabonds and adventurers like myself been around to rebuff the attacks, and even then we so very narrowly succeeded. To my knowledge, this is the second assault the wizard has waged from their nearby island, and I believe there are more to come imminently.
If no help should arrive from the crown than this village may very well fall, and I along my fellows with it. Forgive me for not addressing this letter to a particular officer, or official, for I am new to these human lands, and admittedly ignorant of your customs, and structure of government. I trust however, that whoever should happen to read this parchment will see my message is carried on to those who would need to know.
I send this letter ahead of myself as I currently, am on a caravan to Suzail along with another, a follower of the Red Knight. I will be in the city shortly, and available for questioning should you desire more details. I will inform the guards at the gate of my whereabouts when I arrive. If I hear of no reply within a day I will return to Greatgaunt so that I might rejoin the battle whenever it comes.
Sincerely,
Siriandur of the elves
