In an effort to have something more fun to discuss than whether or not RDDs should be application based, here are some dragon-centric PC concepts I've taken from the Draconomicon. While these PrCs can't be perfectly mimicked in NWN I think they are still fun concepts that are worth considering. They could be applied to old PCs as well as new ones. My basic premise for all of these is that, after the Year of Rogue Dragons, more people will be thinking about dragons now than they did before.
I think an obvious concept would be those that want to take revenge on dragons for the destruction they've caused. There are two classes that fit that motive.
Dragonslayer - Generally a fighter who trains to slay dragons.
Dragonstalker - Also training to fight dragons, but uses stealth instead of the direct approach.
Next is the opportunist. With so many dragons killed during the dracorage there must be some unguarded dragon hordes out there somewhere. And those that still live may be sleeping while they recover from the past year.
Hoardstealer - A thief who specializes in stealing from dragons.
Some humanoids may turn their attention to the dragon deities, especially Tiamat and Bahamut. During 1374, the Year of Lightning Storms, Tiamat and Bahamut recruit followers to investigate lightning strikes and meteor showers to look for dragon eggs. (This could be a fun DM plot.)
Platinum Knight - Basically a paladin of Bahamut.
Talon of Tiamut - A servant of Tiamat. Most of the benefits of this class can't be emulated in NWN but it could still be a fun concept.
Dracolyte - Basically a humanoid cleric of a draconic god.
Feel free to share your own thoughts on any of these concepts and/or offer up new ones. I haven't listed all of the classes from the Draconomicon and other source books may offer other ideas as well. If there's interest we can talk about how to best mimic these classes.
