In the days following the attack of the two dragons and numerous spiders upon Greatgaunt, the half-elf Legebril can be seen discreetly questioning locals and townspeople about the incidents in the more secluded corners of the Griffon. He seems particularly interested in the direction the dragons came from and if they had been witnessed prior to their arrival in the town.
In further hushed tones he also asks about any illusory images experienced during the attack, and seems particularly keen to know of any mysterious visitors to the town in recent days, particularly female human ones.

*Elvewyn, being one of the individuals in the secluded corners of the inn, watches as Legebril walks past after hearing little snippets of what he was asking. Elvewyn pulls his hood low, a smirk coming to his lips, only the white teeth visible within the shadowy confines of the hood. He licks his lips before muttering*
I do believe that gentlemen has just what i am looking for.

Anyone who asks around Greatgaunt would hear commoners speak of the shadows of the dragons coming in from the south and sweeping across the Reaches.
Other commoners and travellers near Valkur's Roar gossip about seeing spiders on the Greatgaunt to Valkur's Roar road...varying in sizes from small wraiths to huge spiders "big enough for an orc to ride".
The spiders appear to pour over the countryside south east of that road, as if searching for something....
