Word has reached my ears of late that outsiders wish to tamper with the portal here. This does not bode well. It is also an unbearable insult towards the one who sealed it to ensure you survived. Your High Priestess Delinaria sacrificed herself inorder that the few who remained could grow and prosper safely.
Dwarf and Elf fought back to back that fateful day to hold the gate until the last. Your High Priestess would not let us stay behind though. We'd planned to destroy the portal in your old hall once she had left. But she would not allow it.
Instead, her prayers were answered by her gods ... your gods. She sacrificed her essence to seal the way and hold the gates for all times so long as Clan Oghrann remains. None may come, none may go whilst Oghrann lives.
Yes, the War Wizards appeared and "sealed" this end as well. They sealed it out of fear and paranoia rather than need though. The same fear that made the Regent refuse the Crown's aid to your Clan to begin with. The same paranoia that my own kin declined to aid you for.
So I implore you to brick this portal up. Set it in stone and build before it a statue with a plaque to let future generations know the real truth. That it was your High Priestess Delinaria and no other that saved you and gave her all to ensure you could grow in numbers and one day return to your rightful place below. So brick it up and deny the mages their boast I say. Then build a memorial to the one that gave her all ... the one betrayed by both Crown and Wood ... let none ever forget the braveheart called Delinaria of Clan Oghrann.
