I have finally found myself at the gates of Cormyr! The sword captain Sloan questioned me on my place of origin, told him of our lands in Damara and the monastery. He must See alot of travellers as he was quite knowledgeable of the homeland. My charter to enter the region went without its problems as some unruly goblins were placed before me. I fulfilled my duties and was granted a charter. I was payed in bloodstone's as a tribute to my work among the region.
Shortly after arriving in Isinhold a small town of mainly adventurers and upstarts, I found the Regal inn for a little bit of rest and meditation. The inn itself is rather foul must say the poor food leaves little to be desired. The cook a man named Sam tried to get me to eat his stew but I could see pieces of meat in it and refused. From the other patrons that were using the privy regularly it was my first good choice among this region. I spent the night in cellar rooms among the rats and the kitchen. Looked to my symbol and the daunting task before me as I slipped into a slumber.[the writing becomes blurred and scrambled as if someone was too tired to write anymore]

To Father
Made my way about town today observing a few of the adventurers most were clad in armour and a few carried staffs of great power. I wandered to a hilltop where healing supplies could be acquired and quickly tried to make some kinda contact with them to purchase supplies. After several attempts i finally explained what I needed with my hands and my now empty coin purse.
I headed east into some ruins after reading a large posting of troubles in that area. After seeing the first creature looked as though a hin had been turned into a zombie yet he was a well fed zombie. After one two of them realized I was not alone from the darkness came an archer believe his name was ALISSIMUS. he was quite a capable fella with steady hand and great knowledge of what stood before us. We made short work of the creatures , I suppose more so him then myself. We spotted some stairs leading downward. I paused remembering the wise words what goes beneath can only get deeper and worse off. Yet he was braver then i and had no intention of changing course. The lower level was full acid oozes and then some kinda tribe of disease looking folks. ALISSIMUS called out to run I hesitated and tried to help but I knew we were done for. All I remember was running into the darkness oh it was cold and unforgiving and my bearing was gone. Suddenly stumbled from the lower depths lost and confused and ALISSIMUS was gone taken by the depths below and have not seen him since.
I write this letter home to you father in hopes that it will assure you that choice you made was not in vain and that I can take care of myself. I hope the words and good fortunes among me continue and that you believe in me.
Love Summer.

To brother Thomas
Write this with reckless abandonment as i know you are the only one that would not forsaken or judge me. I have followed my seven vows and not broken them. Today I aided the cook in what would be an act of divine intervention. I clam mered down into the cellar where the rats had taken up refuse. I clawed and kicked many at times with nothing but my bare hands to stop them. The filth and disease among the place proved too much as I fell to there gnawing and biting.
I awoke in the hands of a woman a healer not sure of her faith as she seemed angelic to the eye and her hand was that of perhaps the clergy at home. My wounds had recovered and my bites lessened by the ointment applied. I gather my robes and made my way downstairs and exited the modest cottage by day break.
Across the way was a general store of some kind fella owned was named Garrot and he was merchant of caliber of them Amnish or Calisham variety. Think he got almost everything worth selling for less then half I would expect but I was glad to gain something to at least afford a little bit of food and meager but better lodgings.
I was sitting in Isinhold just soaking up the atmosphere when a man gathered a large party to investigate the catacombs a place of undead fallen tormented souls seems. He went by the name MAZETH ASH willing to take any and all who wished to accompany. I of course rose and went along. Not sure why chose the name mute for me but seemed to stick and few offered much else at times my faith tested suppose but unwavered in my duties. I met BREANNA BLACKBOON she was feisty well spoken archer ,VINDEL ALOW a man of few words yet quite talented, MIYUKI NEREN uses magic like never seen before, AELYSSIA GALLYN the friendliest of the lot and warmest smile.
As we waded into the undead and there was plenty of them VINDEL was at the flank with me most of the time, tried to study his archery skills and improve my own but was a daunting task as alot to keep an eye on. MIYUKI NEREN at one point tried to remove a skeleton knuckle not sure what for but was rather unpleasant thought to be carrying around such a thing. Glad her attempt was met with failure. [The writing starts to blur and fade as the hand starts to write off the page]

[writing continues with what seems like a fresh hand]
We came across an elven santuary of undead minions, soon found there that the elven remains must have been former mages as there magics were beyond what I have seen to this point. AELYSSIA cast some magic as fire leaped from her outstretched hands and engulfed the wretched mage in napalm. The banter of discussion among the mages was interesting to hear of summons of pigs and badgers. We had a fire breather among us which provided little to match to a creature wrapped in rags. I had my first spell cats upon me was radiating light which seemed to attract them as droves of undead poured from the darkness in ungodly numbers. Some zombies my bolts could not harm and i feared the worst but the mages MAZETH and ALEYSSIA worked there wonders once again. The mages were exhausted from there talents and needed a rest so we had to stop before heading into the basement.
The second floor held creatures of transparency and were hard to get a bead on with a mere crossbow. We crossed a bridge with steel gates when MAZETH disappeared into the darkness to return with some kinda gelatinous cube in tow. The gates swung shut holding back its enormous size and weight. I expected it as others it would seep through by it was shortly dispatched with ease while held at bay.
We continued deeper into the belly of undead coming across a key to perhaps a place lower in the depths. BREANNA stepped forward pulled the key from the Raggity boned corpse, she was the key holder and she was assertive and braver then most. In our haste we had overlooked that AELYSSIA had decided to reorganize her bag of spell components, we returned to the place of cubes to find a somber sight. AELYSSIA had been covered in gel and she had left us. The gelatinous cube had claimed her and now was not willing to give up its meal. We were forced back a moment then regrouped to examine the corpse. MIYUKI either distract or distracted spewed fire damaging BREANNA. The two exchanged words a moment but all was forgotten, nothing more then a singed cloak.
MAZETH spoke of divine scrolls when read properly could return AELYSSIA to her former self but they were not cheap. I emptied my purse upon the ground, spilling 386 coins in total. BREANNA, MIYUKI, and VINDEL continued in the same fashion. MAZETH was sent to retrieve the scroll from the town of Isinhold. The rest of us remained to watch the fallen. I gazed upon her but was careful not to touch the corpse , I have not forgotten my vows of my faith. The undead came for here but we defended the attacks. The cubed returned to seek revenge, engulfing most of us but I managed to be unstuck and finished them off. I looked over the cubes had won this fight taking and filling MIYUKI with gelatinous jelly till it was spewing from her nasal cavity. She was dead. There we were surrounded among the undead with two dead corpses laying before us. A sudden crash as the gate came down on MIYUKI motionless corpse. The sound was one will never forget as metal impaled flesh. BREANNA was covered in acid burns from head to toe and barely alive when MAZETH returned before reaching topside, hearing the horrid sounds from below. Our supplies were taxed and the look among BREANNA's eyes were fading dimly as though hope itself was slipping away. I wondered if we were all to die here. VINDEL tosses his entire purse now to the ground giving up whatever coins remained for now we needed two divine scrolls. Once again MAZETH was gone into the darkness heading topside.
We closed the gates around us caged like animals in a side show for children to watch as moans could be heard from the hungry undead. MIYUKI started to smell and decay first, VINDEL put some cloth inside his helm to help with the smell. BREANNA had a coughing fit and the bends from the odor. VINDEL was a shining light offering we can survive this just hold on.
//// the griever kills MAZETH as he reaches town OUCH ///THANKS TO THE DMS FOR THE HELP, THINK DM HAWK &DM SHENNIGANS
Loud sounds of clanging blades and the sharp clang of a door opening there stood AELYSSIA silent yet standing with us weapon drawn on her person. VINDEL and BREANNA were finally at terms that she was not undead and rushed to her side for support. AELYSSIA promptly turned to a side and vomited the remaining ooze from her cavity.
The darkness stirred once more of all things what could it be had AELYSSIA just been bait to lure us from the cage to a sinister end for all? It was MAZETH dragging his crossbow broken and weathered but not beaten, carrying a scroll in hand like a King's septer. MAZETH knelled and read from the parchment slow and steady as a glistening light encased MIYUKI and with a gurgle sound ooze slide from her mouth. She was alive once more. Carrying the weakened VINDEL with AELYSSIA and MAZETH with MIYUKI we started to ascend. The path was cleared by MAZETH somewhat, BREANNA carved a path through the horde of zombies like a half-orc at an all you can eat mutton feat. I stood next to her with hands in motion this time. The others asked if we were OK, BREANNA snapped just worry about the people back there. The sudden last push of the final door churned and the sunlight was upon our faces.
We had stared undead in the face and it had slapped us silly but had not broken us.....

Dear Father
Write this with baited hand and harrowing tales of adventure so best grab your prayer beads and fine cup of chai.
Mingling around Isinhold when I came across VINDEL and HOOT the later a respectable town merchant among adventurers. Many come to him seeking equipment and magical talismans and weapons of all sorts. VINDEL was interested in some kinda leather Armour seemed to brighten his eyes and unfortunately his purse was not as accommodating as his hunger.
The local revelers included a wide variety of souls though. A woman close to HOOT ,wore a dragon tattoo on her arm seemed as though she enjoyed the artwork of it. There many elves among the town of late and even a few dwarfs yet to catch many of there names but they certainly have a swagger all there own.
Was VINDEL that started an adventure not sure cause his purse was empty or the timing was right with so many adventurers about in town. A large fella named LARPOLK an armored fella took up arms with us in search of fame and fortune. Decided to help some fella from the inn the poor soul got booted from his own estate and was needing an intervention of adventurers to get it back. Seemed a good fit for the lot of us so we headed out.
The countryside was nice for a change not many things among it and soon traveled into a valley where came across some undead type of spider that seemed daunting to the blade and caused us a lapse of troubles but we pushed further on. Trampled the local farms fields as there scarecrows had been brought to life with magic some staring at you freezing you in there tracks while others did no more then stand there get shredded like straw. The house was ahead and it had many obstacles before we even reached the door steps undead zombies with skin so hard not even a bolt or arrow could get through there tough skin. I have seen a few different types these have proved most difficult must say. We decided on a better turn of valor and returned to Isinhold intact as poorly prepared for such creatures.
The candle draws dim as write thee and time to put parchment and quill to rest but shall tell you more of how we recovered and prepared for the mortifying tale to come.....

Taken a shine to an elven named Vindel seems we spend more time together then most i know . He finally removed his helm to show his face, seems there are few here that care to be recognized day to day. I expected him to be more old in fashion but suppose elves age much different. Not sure but think almost right of passage to express ones face around here not sure why but seems the ritual for most.
In passing I noticed a man staring at me more then I cared to admit. We seemed to gaze at each other but I was following his eyes as they upon me more then expect from a stranger. I listened careful to his conversations with a man that was hurt. I would rushed to his side but this Yago fella had already seen to his wounds. Perhaps some sorta holy man or healer still not made up my mind as of yet.
A woman polishes her blood stained blade as I watch the passer byers, seen her once before she remains motionless in town like a statue at times but today she polishes a blade repeatedly.
Ran into Mazeth again still seems to take enjoyment calling me mute suppose the title and burden is mine to bear. How ever long will remain silent among the talking of so many? I do not begrudge his comments as he is in his right as such I am a mute of sorts and to deny it would be against the faith. many curious of my silence yet I am vigil in my faith.
A man by the name of Larpolk Licatum a member of the triad first sense of some kinda kinship felt since here. First of many meet this day but not the last. A woman by the name of Starla Wingfree she carries a crystal ball which she communicates with. It sees, it tells , it knows. I know magic is beyond us but still watch it with eager eyes. [the words seem to be smeared slightly on the parchment at this point] Vindel taken a shine to some elven maiden named Anani'a Sherwood they speak in elven perhaps so none will notice there admiration for each other. I enjoy her company but seems Vindel enjoys it more then anyone else.
Believe that Sam's stew finally reached to the locals as well. Bentin in passing farted in rather rude manner next to us today. He is the town militia and patrols regularly yet be hard pressed as his frame is not that of a slender man.
[looks to the hallway] Kale is coming again hates when i stay up late in the common rooms, keeping his customers up late by candle light. Must go for now tell you next of the vampire boy twas the most scary tale yet!
