Nodalynn Moorgrass

Born in Urmlaspyr (Sembia). Nodalynn was the youngest of two children, the oldest being her brother "Jarviss." Nodalynn's mother passed away from th effects of a disease when she was only two, leaving her and "Jarviss" to be raised by there drunk of a father "Rio Moorgrass." Early life was full of hardship, at the age of eight her brother had left home to work as a sailor. Leaving only Nodalynn & her father in their families home. After "Jarviss" left her fathers addictions to alcohol & gambling had hit rock bottom. Late that summer on a rainy night two men busted her door down, snatched her out of bed, and took her in a stage coach to "Daerlun." It was on that ride she had learned that she hadn't been abducted, but her father lost her and the house to a dwarf in a card game. The dwarf was the leader of a small mercenary company based in the outskirts of "Daerlun's" countryside. "Sabre" as the dwarf called himself was a foul man and violent drunk much like her father. "Sabre" would use her as a form of entertainment, by chaining her to a post while his men threw bottles and trash at her, forcing her to fend off groups of drunken men with nothing but a stick, or whatever he felt would be fun at that moment. Late in the fall when Nodalynn was around thirteen Sembian soldiers raided "Sabre's" complex, It seemed as the mercenary company was actually the front for a smuggling operation. While helping "Sabre" burn paperwork in his office before the soldiers made it to him, he made the comment that "He wouldn't last a night in jail" to which her response was "We can only hope!" Enraged by her comment, he swung the bottle of alcohol that he was fueling the fire with and broke it on the right side of her face, cutting her open from her lip to her ear and knocking her unconscious. The next morning she awoke in the city jail, the guards explained that she was to be charged with Conspiracy and smuggling. Even though the courts heard her case, she was sentenced to eight years. Nodalynn didn't mind prison, it was better than Sabre's complex. and she had made friends with some members of a street gang known as the "Shadow Watch." Late in the last year of her sentence she had got into a scuffle with a guard, and earned herself another five years of hard labor. Nodalynn knew she couldn't survive five more years in a Sembian prison, she tapped her connections in "The Shadow Watch" and managed to escape and fled for the Cormyrian border in hope of eluding any chance of being extradited back to Sembia!
