While there are rewards for great RP, pushing a story without DM involvement or developing your character, I think many of us come to FRC for the suberb interaction with some RP'rs here. I realize there is a thread in off-topic to thank individuals for special RP, I think it might be more appropriate to recognize those that go to the extra lengths here since this is the Role Play section. Of course the DM team might think otherwise and move this but hey.... cant blame someone for trying.
With all that said I ask that we not stray too far from topic, which is... lets recognize great RP.

Heh, I'll start... Louis - for always managing to make Ranan remember "people" can get close without him seeing Valla - for making everyday mundane things turn out to be great fun! Shivata - that little "thing" you dreamed up last night..wow, excellent RP... I'm glad I got to be involved!

Since my first stages at FRC in oktober 2004 Ranan: Cause he wasn't the usual evil, but more a troubled human who had found a easier way to deal with his matters and problems, and embraced this way like a famine 'dog' enterily, it was very funny take part in the discover of the essence of Ranan - this is my opinion tough guy Crom: Cause he is fun, and he does very well in the ways of a half-orc of good heat Liahn Shadowborne: Cause she ever was a troubled girl for her dragon blood and suffered for it until the last consequences, unfortunatelly she left early Torian Burffot: She is one and many, did what she wanted and never left much clues, the same values to Clotho Culalen, and Kam Malagam in this particular hard aspect of roleplay, but I chose Torian in this Braiden Arulson: If you wanna a good guy this was a prototype, unfortunately RL matters took him away fastly. Son'ya: Many peope don't like much Son'ya roleplay, but I like see how this young elven lady walks without hate anyone and always like 'air-headed' even if the world is falling, her roleplay is interesting and unusual. There are many others I'll not mention, to not let this trheat lose its purpose - the characters I mentioned had important appearances in Keetena life, so it is easier to me know how they roleplay during a long time - so I chose they amongst many

I've been logging on as Amra more often due to the great RP of the following:
Jorinar, Aspa, Kelyan, Nania, Zan'dria, and Chen. We're like our own adventuring party in a PnP session. Seriously...
Thanks everyone...

Mynian- Her character seems very well defined to me and I've always looked forward to having time to spend with the seamstress.
Valla & Ranan- as a team- outstanding.
Kelric- is a outstanding roleplayer, and has deep character depth. I encourage everyone to take the time to see how full and alive his background his.
Zaebros- Though he went back to Thay- I still haven't experiance more Slaad fun than Frogwart, and Zaebros's history is also very indepth.
Sharita- Plays the burden of an Oversword very realistically.

Zaebros went back to Thay?? Oh no! Now who will I have long, meaningless but fun conversations with in the Regal Griffon when the server is mostly empty? *Notices the newly arrived apprentice red wizard sitting in the exact same seat as Zaebros always did* Oh well, nevermind then...
Cudo's to Zaebros and also to more or less everyone else I've met here. You guys know how to rp, good on ya!

I enjoy:
Myn: Probably one of my favorite RP participants ever. Jen does a very good job of handling a primarily non-combatant PC, far better than most(I mean, her other character is a blind person who doesn't go "stumbling about" a dungeon). And of course there's the lovely clothes and quick wit.
Torian: Misha is a great fun to interact with. Great at knowing just how to enrage a random character, and it's always a kick to see the very small Torian chew out the goodie goods like they're nothing.
MaO: A great person for playing the evil fellows. They know how to keep their icky sides secret, while leaving enough clues that an observant character with access to a variety of obscure langauges can't figure them out. Refreshing to see smaller scale evil done right.

Cap'n 'Don't Call Me Pirate' Kam: Love this character. He's very well played without being an overbearing cliche of a sailor. Well done. Keep it up. ;D Hrothgar: That sneaky @$#%! that just picked my pocket... Torian: Heart of gold my @#!... Love her. Her bouts of rage, while frequent, are adorable to watch. Ailren: Always holding back (well... not always) some smart remark regarding zealots, fanatics, stupid people, people in general, etc, etc. ;D Good stuff. Glewien: Great roleplayer all around. Poor girl can't seem to keep a man, though... Ranan: Gotta hand it to the guy. He takes all manner of crap being a banite, but he really knows restraint. With that amount of crap he gets, I'd just as soon kill everyone and be done with it. ;D Aelrik: Did you know if you watch him carefully, you can actually see layers of trauma? True story. Between giving in to temptation from Asmodeus, watching people be slaughered by evil mind flayers, and *cough* 8 cha... ;D Sharita: Aweomse player and one of the few I think plays Paladins the way they should and, boy is that a compliment because I loath pallies. Good stuff. Mynian: Great character with a lot of depth. Too few are willing to play, as catmage said, 'non-combatant' types. Very happy to see this old TSMer on FRC.

This is a hard one because I've seen so much outstanding roleplay on FRC. It's like asking, "who's the best of the best?" I can't answer that, but I can make a list of folks that have made their mark on my RP experience and brag on their characters.
Sharita/Evana - While these characters aren't exactly night and day (but close!), my character has developed profound friendships with both of them. The nature of these friendships are completely different and both invaluable to my character. From a mentor to his best drinking buddy, interaction with these characters is always rewarding.
Kam - Very good portrayal of a pirate Sea Captian. He has a unique sense of honor...he'll bleed with you, watch your back...but don't think you're safe! Interaction with the Cap'n is always great fun. Almost worth it when he starts to jack up his prices on you.
Deserae Stormbringer (a.k.a. Storm) - Always a hoot to run with this crazy woman but recently I've seen a lot of depth come out of her. I enjoyed the duel of honor and the aftermath a great deal. She may not interact with a lot of folks, but those who do spend time with her are always in for a few rewarding surprises.
Shivata - I still remember when my character first met Shivata, when she was brand new to the server. Shivata made an impression then and is still making one now. This character has been developed in such a way that she can change the atmosphere of almost any scenario by just walking up to it.
Padrin - Booby jokes and pork chop harassment aside, I have come to really appreciate this character. When Padrin takes off from the server for a while, something feels out of place. That's the sort of presence this character has. Another way to look at it: Who doesn't know Padrin?
Yulena - Wonderful character on many levels. Yulena is great in spite of (and partly because of) the limitations that her player artfully portrays. She is a realistic and believable character in a fantasy setting. This character has set my character on new paths of development that I never saw on the horizon. She contributes a new dimension to whatever she gets involved in. ~Hic~
Tremain - I especially enjoy his take on running a low level character from the ground up. So many NWN (but not necessarily FRC) characters 'begin' with developed personalities and talk like they've been fighting giants or throwing fingers of death their entire lives. Tremain's youthful take on life is very refreshing and prods my character into a big brother role....giving my own character a new dimension. It's gonna be great to see the process as Tremain 'comes into his own.'
Zaebros - Like Padrin, something just felt wrong when Zaebros became scarce. The contrast between our characters' points of view made for some great interaction over the long term. In addition to steady methodological Zaebros, we got to see Frogwart the best played Slaad on FRC!
Aelrik - Defined a big turning point for my character that will probably affect most of his decisions from that point onward. I've been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the deep layers built into this character. As a player I can't interact enough with this character.
Ailren - Heh. I enjoy the consistency in which Ailren is played and his odd friendship with my character. Beetleboy knows he'll get a share of harassment from Kid Snaggletooth (TM).
Felicia - Don't see this character at all these days, but I had great fun running with her for the short while that I did. This character was also designed with limitations that made her very realistic and natural to interact with.
Many other players have characters that I see as great. Regretfully I haven't interacted with them enough to develop a defining relationship yet. (Vara, Valla, Lydia, Manshin, Vind, Torian, Glewien, Mynian, Ranan, Louis, Hrothgar, Jerico, Sonya, Keets, Taran, Vinduil, and the list goes on...but unfortunately time runs out!)
I don't say this enough to my fellow FRCers: Many thanks for the hours of fun and for helping to make this server stand out from the rest.

I have always had fun with several rpers here. Kam, Vind, the tension between Ranan and the subtle threats of Louis. Guldar truly hates Ailren but catmage plays him superbly in my book that sometimes i want to make a mage just to sit around with him. I had the pleasure of going out with Torian the other day...was very impressed with the rp and the added realism that Tor brings. I love my interactions with Helgrin and think that he plays a dwarf very well without the smelly drunkenness that seems to be used by most. And every time Ev has gone with us, it seems the rp goes up a notch. I also think Storm plays her pc very well but like Ailren, i find myself plotting her downfall more than getting to rp with the crazy wench...lol. Anyhow, just saying that i dig almost everyone i play with..Talon, Nura, Quen, Taran...always a fun time...

I'll look around for some fellow noobs to give honorable mention to next time I'm on. Out of the lowbies, I like Uther/Miraster the Black, Katha/Lilith, Lucius, and Milly, because they're my Evil Buddies™. At least, they used to be. Afraid of being sacrificed now. Drago, Ratface Dan, and Gurtokk, if only because they're cool. Oh, and Vanessa going nuts on me was cool, too. I'll post again soon, I'm sure I'm forgetting someone that deserves credit.

Well coming from a veteran all you people out there I have gamed with forever know how I feel about ya. Your all awesome so I will just give a shout out to a new player I noticed rather quickly.
Vanessa has got skillz. To come on and worm her way in to Phelzaron's life in 6.2 seconds considering how much a loner he is. I spent a week just RPing in the tower with her. Great Job! Way to keep Phelzaron focused on you. You really bridged the gap between a low level character and a high level one. Game mechanic wise we are completely incompatible and you made it seem plausible for them to be around each other in a way that has little to with the grind...well nothing to do with the grind! I enjoyed every minute of it too.

It is more like the new generation (with some exceptions) doesn't spend as much time posting names here. Have you interacted with anyone that roleplayed worth a mention here? If so why don't you post of them here... or are you only looking for your name? Maybe those that travel with you are just reading as well...

i want to say that it has been really nice RPing in Thunderstone with everyone that has been coming out there, making it a Isinhold of the East for those of us that can reach it. Helgrin, Quendros, Evana, t's been a pleasure travelling and RPing with you three lately, even though Ev and Vind are at each other's throats, I love the tension. Guldar, been damn fine to see you out here again, always love the ranger brothers from different races. Padrin, Taran, that was a hell of a lot of fun wandering arond as nature boys out there. I look forward to seeing you two out East more often Ailren, TOri, that was a hoot the other night, Ailren, I love hating you man! hahaha Glewi, Phel, Vinduil, without hanging with some Purple Dragons I guess I'd always get into trouble, and without hanging with Vind, you'd have no fun! HA! and to my ole buds Hroth and Kam, lets never ever ever play cards again, hm? hahahha! Thanks to all of you for making this a great place to play guys, I love hanging with you. And for those I missed, sorry, I been drinking. ;D

Unfortunate that my neighbor shut off his wireless router just after I entered the Regal Griffon, so I couldn't find Talon or have a "talk" with Valla. Have I mentioned I hate AT&T now? Still no DSL. So much for having it set up on Monday. Maybe I'll just move over to Verizon. Sick of borrowing bandwidth!

Its true... you are for suck. HA! (My favorite bad german/english) Just kidding. This is where people post acknowledgements of great RP they have seen. If you are tired of seeing the same people, why dont you get the ball rolling from your end? Who have you RPed with latley with who was really good? Oh, if you really get to know those who get mentioned here, you'll probably realize why they so often do. I give Kudos to Kain the Paladin. Great stuff the other night. Here here, Laurk... I didnt start this thread to focus on the same players who have been here eons, I started it so people could recognize a recent specific event where they had a blast. As Laurk said there is no reason you can put newer people here, in fact my recent 'shout out' included Shana and she is not that 'old' around here. I could have listed a ton more, but like others I forget myself... so in hindsight: Drago - always fun, you are constantly making me laugh Theo - well, I wont say it Ailren - I admire this character a ton!!! He always knows how to say things where you are not exactly sure how he insulted you.. great RP Onisha - her character really comes across Vanessa - I have to agree with Phel *grumbles* she does cross the bridge between epic and low level characters with ease. The event in Phel's tower was great! Crestoph - very difficult character to play, as far as his feelings toward people but you stick to it no matter what is thrown at you... excellent I could list a ton more, but here is the thing... I only meant this thread to "promote" more RP. Considering the number of players on the server, most times a DM may NOT see that interesting RP and therefore not reward you for your efforts. Here is a place you can recognize each other... so stop complaining! OK kidding with the last point but you get the hint...

Well actually, I think most about everyone I've roleplayed with should be mentioned here, actually, with a few notable exceptions. But those people didn't really count as roleplaying anyway. So here's my honourable mention for great rp: Every friggin' one of you! Especially all you new ones who doesn't immediately avoid the big unpleasant barbarian and label him a moron And Ranan, for being Ranan and still being able to loaf around Isinhold like he's got nothing better to do ;D

Naw, naw, naw, the kobold fighting pit was a far better idea. I mean, far better then selling babies even if everyone loves babies. Least with the fighting kobolds people can place bets. I'll shoot a thumbs up to Talon on some recent RP. He's a deeper character then first impression would give. ^_^ Oh! And to Ranan and Guldar for the stare down in the middle of town that one day. You could just feel the love!
