DM Event - Silver Rush
The explosions came in the night and they were loud, and all the while Castle Crag looked on in horror as they saw the flames roar into the air from the small outpost of Slinghyke and its surrounding homes and farms. The enemy but mere breaths away from Castle Crag itself.
Amongst the orcs, several golems of large proportions have been spotted, along with many-armed demons, and an equally healthy amount of war machines.
Criers flood the streets of Arabel, harking out of the impending doom and many of its citizens evacuating to Immersea and/or Eveningstar. Arabel, with the aid of the church of the Red Knight, the church of Tempus, and Cormyr's Purple Dragon's, begin mounting their war machines quickly for the upcoming battle. The defenses tightening more as soldiers pick up their swords, shields, and head out to the field, scouts actively patrol more, and local hill giants near Arabel are actually spotted amongst the defenders to provide aid!
After weeks of analyzing, military analysts suspect that High Horn is the next target after Arabel - the second portion of the madman's army predicted to make this attack. Should Arabel fall, this would place the Hullack Forest, Immersea, and Eveningstar directly at risk from being invaded by land! Arabel's fall would also allow the enemy the use of the Wyvernwater, giving them naval access to Haltail, Thunderstone, Immersea, and Wheloon.
