I believe this is covered in the rules... I'm pretty sure you can't.

My personal quest right now is last minute Christmas shopping! How many participants do I have with me?

As stated in the rules, please do not request quests.
We added two more this weekend, and have plenty more on the way.

As Matinus would say "Come to me! Rally here!" Although Sabre might give you good and evil quests, and I will be making sure either is done which ever was asked So be prepared! Don't worry Justicar, I will be reasonable with my rewards, depending on the quest. Plus the player gets to keep all the loot (usually), what more can they ask for? *looks to the only gnome in the village and points him to make sure the kidnapped elves are not rescued* muwhahahahaha

I'd just like to say that Sabre's rewards are well worth it!

I want to try to put an end to something before it becomes an even bigger trend... i.e. asking the new DM for quests... I am getting to the point I dont even want to open up my inbox anymore. Please guys I know we are friends, or were before I got the robes, but please don't put me into a position where I have to deny you. Please direct your ideas for quests to DM Justicar so you can get your 'No' from him. That is all that I am going to do with them is forward them along to the DM Council for consideration, then we can all say 'No' and have a good laugh about it. heh. sorry Justi... Right now I am still busy getting used to where all the different monsters and items are / custom and standard, not to mention where everything is the hundreds of areas here. I try to make my rounds and reward your RP when I see it and add some NPC flavor when I can and if I see some area farming expect to get your CR raised when you least expect it, other high points are answering new player questions and dealing with technical and interpersonal problems. Beyond that I need some peace and serenity over here... Got a lot on my plate at the moment. Thank you for your understanding in the future. Your public servant - DM Gustyrill

Hmm...Last I knew...the best way to not get a quest, was to ask for one anyway.

I like to more or less put myself in the place of receiving one... not so much asking for one... But some observations I've noticed to gain a DM's attention for a quest.
1. Don't go out alone, go with 2-3 people at least.
2. Be active, if they know you are a good RPer they know that the event will be interesting.
3. Having a plot already in motion from previous DM interaction always helps.
Feel free to add your observations on when DM's pay you special attention. ^_^

O'course, our dms shall grant quests to those who really give value to them, my first quest was many months after enter the server, but each one was very special, regardless of any rewards, I'm not saying that will take several months to you get into a quest, but hey, look to the other players, we have many plots occuring at server that anyone can take a taste of they, and they smell as good as quests... nowadays I'm too with the same personal problems our team have with time and I'm playing far less, but you can count with Keetena Silkhair, Lomyl Moonray, Fremein and Bidine too to assist in quests as a player

If you want to consider an unexpected surprise a quest then I guess he is right. Of course only a power-gamer would consider being a toy for a flight of dragons a real quest.
