I'm sorry to report this, but my computer is acting funny and it is still under waranty. I think it needs a new motherboard but the tech support won't take my word for it so I'll have to send the whole machine to fix the problem. This means that unless my fiance lets me borrow the laptop and install NWN on it for playing- I shan't be around for a week- maybe two I'll be able to keep up on the forums for reading and I still have one or two days I'll be popping into the game for sure before my computer is sent off in the mail. I'll have Yulena state an Ic reason for her absence.

You'll be missed - come back to us as soon as you can. Let your fiance know that if he really loves you he will let you take over his computer! (at least it's still under warranty! )

I've been wondering if I should have her simply state she's going on a long trip- or if I should tie the plot in with her recent attacks and give youall something to worry about while I'm gone. *big cheesy smile*

You could tie in that huge bag of books you recently got and say you made your self a little fort out of books, walling yourself off from the world in your determination to memorize them word for word!

Now thats a funny thought. A book fort appears in the corner of the Inn and everyonce and awhile Kale can be seen carrying a bit of tea over to it.
Hehee.
I think I'm working up a good excuse for my absence though. Though this thought amuses me.

*starts to bang her head on her computer desk.*
OK so I called my tech support, and it turns out after a long conversation that I don’t want to repeat that I have decided NOT to send my computer in and simply deal with the fact that for some reason unkown to anyone, my microphone doesn’t want to allow any input onto my computer. (I can’t talk over VOIP programs, or record things.)
But I can hear things just fine.
I have to do one more troubleshooting step before I ever send the thing off into the mail- and I hate doing this step SO much that I might just put it off indefinitely.
That step being to format and re-install my OP.
Now- this means that I’m not sending my computer off into the mail this week, (or next week, or… well you get the idea.) and despite my preparations to justify why Yulena wouldn’t be around for a week in game time- it is no longer needed.
But- I HAVE had fun and I thank all those involved in having fun with it so far.
The good news is I’m back. I’ll talk to the people I need to talk to about wrapping up the story line.
*bangs head on desk*

Ha! that assumes those people involved WILL let you wrap it up! *evil laugh* Just kidding... I have no idea whats going on with Yulena, she's probably lost somewhere and cant find her way home!

Well, my computer decided to be a big extra pain in the tookus and has begun to act in ways more serious than just a messed up microphone.
I'm sending the whole thing in, I hope to be back on FRC as soon as possible- but how long I'll be gone is unknown. Send computer goodness my way.

I'm about to crawl up the walls.

You will know when you have actually gone out of your mind when you can actually crawl up the walls.

I completely understand. I built my computer from a local store here and it ran really fine...and then I decided to get the NWN game...and then the XPs...and then play online...
...it just took my 2 years to realize that I had no video/graphics card.
Try looking for a local store near you that will look at your computer. Can you do this without messing up your warranty? Also...can you take off the cover without messing up your warranty? If you can take off the cover look at the caps on the motherboard to see if they are burned out...if that's the case it will need replaced (it's what happened to me).
Good luck
