Heya, just wondered if anyone has seen any screen of NWN 2? The game looks nice. And it looks like they are going to stick with tradition and leave the ability to make mudules and online stuff. Any feed back? ;D

We are in the initial discussion stages of the FRC NWN2 project. We may or may not be sticking to Cormyr. I can assure you whatever we do we will as always be focused on role-playing, bringing you the best environments possible and addictive game play, as those are our founding principles. I like to think that Cormyr isn't what makes FRC what is is; it is the players, the loving care and great pains we have put into FRC to make it a great place to play. This spirit will live on in the next project to be sure. Also, FRC's current NWN module will be viable and supported for at least another year, or two. In the long run there will be two servers... one for NWN and one for NWN2. FRC isn't going away any time soon, and the team will carry on - both on this server and the new one.

Hmmm... what about a server in Waterdeep (for NWN2)? Though it's a city, there is a ton of stuff there... plus there's stuff leading into the underdark through that crazy undermountain, and all sorts of other fun goodies.

An underdark server would be nice ;D lol I know i'm pushing it.
How about one of the town of the Dalelands, like Shadowdale, Daggerdale? or mabey the city of Neverwinter, the place is stuffed full of Hapers, but it's hard to tell whi is one. Possibly Luskan, with their devotion to the evil goddess Auril it could be interesting dealing with them. They have a nice temple of Tempus there to.

Down with the pinko bastards!!! *listens to a voice in his head* What? We arent fighting communism anymore! Right right... Mac users are terrorists!!! Down with the terrorists!!! For all intensive purposes i am joking. Sorry talus, the market is more for windows based applications. Microsoft is the real enemy here. But dont powerbooks do something cool, like allow you to emulate windows and run windows based software? Regardless, when you asked about reasonably priced comps, well alienware is not reasonable. Sure you get bang for your buck, but it is a bit overkill. I would say wait till the game goes gold, no sense in spending the cash now when it will be outdated in 3 months.

Yep the new Macs will have Intel chips in them which might run Windows. I think someone has figured it out, but am not sure. But they haven't made the Desktops yet with them. Too many PowerPC chips running around in iventory yet I suspect. Oh and all you people getting Next Gen consoles can thanks Apple for funding IBM's research for the chips in your Consoles. But really what I am looking for is a computer that will run NWN2 when it comes out. Yes I know it doesn't have a release date yet, but I am trying to plan ahead.

Mac's already have the intel based chips in them, and Windows XP has been loaded up onto a Mac already ... I'm a Windows-*lady of the evening* btw lol Mac's are good for graphics applications but not much else IMO and yes I've given them a chance! I used them all through out school! I must say I'm very very impressed with what they can do with such slow system specs! As Darth Vader would say "Most Impressive" lol as for running that wonderful morsel of a game NWN2 I would expect that if you can run FEAR, or Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, you should be fiiiiiinneee...I was looking at screenshots and think you'll probably need around the same specs. as those games because NWN2 has pretty darn good graphics, not awe-inspiring, but you see so much at once...so yeah...all just speculation!....btw if you wanna see something that will make your jaw drop www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=2509^-- watch the GDC 2006 Trailer...the topmost vid the wonder of directX 10 *drooooolssss*

I don't know if it's released yet or not, but Mac "Bootcamp" will enable Mac users to run Windows.
It is fully supported by Mac from what I have heard, so now you Mac folks can get the best of both worlds, from my understanding.

Here's the skinny on that. Yes Apple release BootCamp and it sounds great, for what I am looking for. BUT! It only works for Intel Macs, and Apple isn't supporting it, yet. They are just saying it a beta thing. The reviews I have read sound like it'll works great. Now just need to save my coppers for a new Intel Mac.

Boot Camp is only a beta right now, download at your own risk, etc etc etc. What is interesting to know is that if you are lucky enough to own one of the Intel Macs, then you will be able to get the official release version of Boot Camp along with Mac OSX 4.5 (named Leopard i belive) when that is released...they are simply testing it out right now and released the beta because of all the users that have requested it, and because of the users that have windows on macs anyways silly haxxors
