I apologize for logging on the group after Torgeir’s fall and I did so because at that time I was angry about the events that happened out of character. I let you both known due to lag and the poor performance from my computer that I would not be wanting to PvP the first time I was toggled hostile back when Torgeir was in town. I thought that as players, you would respect what I brought forth and not engage in PvP with me this day. I am sure that you players realized I was crashing from lag for every time I logged back in after a crash you both toggled Torgeir hostile, not to mention that you had your characters wait for me to log on as Torgeir to engage him in the spot I crashed at. I am not a sore sport; I have fallen in PvP many times and have never complained. But to use my computers poor performance to your character’s advantage I find disrespectful.
Now that I have expressed myself I bring this out publicly because I want to hear everyone else’s opinions on what happened to me this day. Was I wrong for being angered about this? Were the two players wrong in not doing what I personally asked via tell? Also, what is everyone thoughts on PvPing in lag?
Thanks in advance for the responses.

My thoughts are these:
If someone specifically asks you not to PvP with them because of an issue with their computer..you shouldn't. Otherwise...glitches in the game that may cause you to win/lose can't really be controlled. If you should be hit by Lag for instance, or I am sure as everyone has had happen, you just suddenly stop fighting for no real reason and just allow everyone free licks during a fight..well..thats just kind of how the ball bounces and you should toss it up as a loss. If you should happen to be afk and get taken out by another character..well..also thats just a loss. I think though that in an instance of someone specifically asking not to be engaged in PvP because of computer issues, attacking them is sort of a low blow. I also have no clue when happened here other then what I just read, or who was involved. But I would like to say that whoever it was..if Panros really asked you not to attack him because of a connection/computer issue, and you ignored him and waited through a few crashes and retoggled him hostile, then took him out: Shame on you!

Well, as I was the one who attacked you. Even though i'd rather have this discussed in PM's..
All you said to me before, was that it was lagging(the server, wich is was for everybody) and Torgeir wanted to kill my char but you wouldnt attackk me becouse of the lagg. I am sorry if I misunderstood you, but I didnt see it as even a request to not attack you :/
Then somebody suggested it, so I went along and lead the whole thing. I turned you hostile before attacking, and you sent no tell to me(and I don't know what tells you sent to the others) about it..
And yes I did notice you crashed twice before, but well, every time I have ever played with you you crash lots :/ And you didnt say anything about that either to me.
And no, we didnt wait for you where you crashed, we approached, noticed that you had crashed went back, then returned a bit later after you had come back. Same thing would have happened if you hadnt crashed so I don't see how that changed anything at all..
I definetly wouldnt have attacked you had I known you'd feel bad about it, And I didnt know that you had more comp issues now then you usualy have, all you said to me before we attacked. was that Torgeir wanted to kill Veshal but you wouldnt becouse of the lagg. I am sorry if I have done something wrong :/

alright well i was the other player...and well you said to me in tells that you would not initiate the PvP because of the lag but you wouldn't hesitate to fight back, i also have screenies of those exact words.
you not once mentioned any computer issues to myself, though i had noticed you crash twice, like mega said you crash often and it seemed pretty normal.
here's my thoughts on PvP in lag, i hate it but if it's gonna happen (assuming it's the server and not on just one side) then really it's just as even as not in lag. we were all lagging, to me that cancels the lag right out of the equation.
when you crashed mega even said //ok he crashed let's move back a ways. and when you came back we even waited like 3 min before we did anything.
thank you for not posting names panros, having the option to post or not was nice. i do feel that my side was miss represented in your story but i don't know what you and mega had said to each other...

Sounds awfully familiar. Back when the server was a lagfest, there was still loads of pvp happening. Things happen and we just have to find the happy medium. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose.

Or...
... you all agree right now that until Panros can get his computer situation completely fixed you ALL refrain from any initiating of PvP.
The last thing we want here is for this to become a griefing issue. I would expect you all to be mature about this and not holler foul play in either way.
If any of you have a major issue with this, send either myself or Greenhouse a PM and we will see to the matter.

I stated clearly that I did not want to start any PvP under all the lag and crashes I was having that day. I believed my message to the two was clearly enough that I did not want to PvP that day. Since I didn't type, "NO PVP YOU BASTARDS!" I guess Mark and Mega can't be lashed for what they did to me that day.
Alright, my lappy always crashes on me, and I always seem to get spikes of lag. However there are some days, like the one Torgeir was attacked by Marklar and Veshal that combat is just downright unplayable. I literally was ready to walk the person I was with back to town and just sit back and hold conversation the rest of the day.
From now, if any person sets me hostile, I will him know a head of time if my lap top is being crashtacular or lagfestiful and that I do not want to PvP unless the RP permits it of course. I mean, an attack on Isinhold with Torgeir happening to be there, well, tough luck. If Torgeir's in someone's face, lag or not, and they punch him that can't be helped.
I hope I'm clear this time. Know that I will not be using my doo doo computer as an excuse to avoid PvP unless I truly am at a disadvantage.

Sorry to harp on this, but this statement here:
One, unless you have an RP reason you shouldn't just be blatantly PvPing folks anyway. If you guys are doing a "kill on site" deal regarding due to the way past RP went, then fine, but check with eachother to see if "today is a good day to die".
Two, the statement contradicts itself. To paraphrase: "I don't want to, but I will anyway." Either you do or you don't. Make a solid choice until you can get your comp fixed. It can avoid discussions like this all together.

If I am toggled hostile in advance because someone is wanting to PvP, I will let them know a head of time, if my computer is being ass, that I do not want to PvP.
Certain times there is no way around PvP, and that usually is a spur of the moment thing. For example, an attack on a village where the attackers plan on killing anyone inside. Another example, words are said that mean to start a fight.
To sum it all up, I will not be starting PvP with anyone unless my computer is able to, and if given the chance, I will let any who toggle me hostile know that I am in no condition to PvP if that is the case.
Is that more clear Jen?

OR...... Torgeir should stop running around being an ahole that makes people want to PvP him . . . To Gero, Torgeir have allready had to many get out jail free cards You obviously do not know the character that is Torgeir well enough if you claim I have him run around like an ahole. Bringing up getting out of jail free cards, Torgeir has only been in jail two times while more notorious villains have been in there more than twice that number. Where is the holy justice attitude towards the characters who's evil deeds make them deserve it? Don't judge a book by its cover and don't be quick to insult. Torgeir would have no friends if indeed this is how I had him behave. I'm thinking this issue has been spoken of enough, but, if anyone has any further input regarding Lag PvP be my guest and post away. *smiles*
