I was banned 3/18/07 (may have been morning 19th) very late. My pc had tech difficutlities and I had to re join the game. I couldn't see anyone else on my screen and figured I was alone or something. I kind of made my dwarf flirt with the help desk lady and then was killed. By the time I realized someone was even texting me I was too late. I really didn't mean (or try) to break any rules and I just would really like to be able to play again! When I went back to chat someone told me that the FRC server was down. I am not even sure if or what I did anything wrong??? If anyone can help me or give me any info on this I'd be very greatful. I have the utmost respect for everyone involved in this project and would at least like an explanation and an opportunity to ammend any wrongdoing. Please? I have an 8 month old daughter and me and my wife work alot so I don't always have more than an hour or two to do any serious campaigning. If that poses a problem I understand and I will just play other places. I met some really cool folks on FRC and I would really like to play there again. I love the way everything is so refined to detail, and that your char has to eat, drink, sleep and carefully plan treks with rations. etc. etc. please please please tell me why I have been banned!

I don't think you're banned. The server was probably just resetting/crashing. Try to log-in again.

I hope you are right because I'm a paper penner going ten years, just got on dsl 3 days hence, and can't find *anything* better than this!

would it tell me I'm banned if PvP is full? had like 61 of 64 when I tried last. I just don't get this. I have no explanation or anything. Can you please help me? I've tried other campaigns on here and they are good but none interested me like this one...

Well, Full PvP (Player versus Player) just means the server is set to where players can damage each other even if they're in the same party. (The three modes are Full PvP, Party PvP, or No PvP.) The 61/64 would indicate there were 3 slots left for players so that shouldn't have prevented you from joining. If those three slots filled while you were in the server list then it might still say 61/64 when it is really 64/64 though. If that was the case, it should have given you a message along the lines of "Server is full" when you tried to join.
The server administrator is out of town for a few days so he wouldn't have banned you because he's not there to ban you. The server administrator won't be back until March 24. (This is posted on the forum and on the calender.)
Are you getting some kind of error message when you attempt to join?

Calm yourself. I am sure you have done nothing wrong to be banned. And as the good Munroe has said, the Justicar aka Jeezus of this server, is not here to ban anyone.
Most likely it is errors that are halting your trek into the wonderful journey that is the Forgotten Realms Cormyr server.
As a father you should know patients. As a PnP player you should know patients. Use the time you wait to get back onto the server to better refine your character as well as familiarize yourself with the rules, and pick up some lore that you may not know before.
Worry not, if you are the dwarf I think you are, the most of your worries would be changing your name. *grins*

;D All my days are crammed together now; I need to quit the resteraunt business. People are playing that site to death. I'm 100% green on NWN online, only one it once through with Bar/Ftr/WpnMs. I played BG, BG2 and frankly am green online altogether (lack of funds). I'm making better dough now and I got my tower loaded with tech, and I haven't been on dsl 5 days. So hasty I didn't know I need cep2 and bwr. tilesets. Problem with BG is we spent 1/2 time ooc. I probably had 6 genuine lasting games paper pen last ten years, so my acting skill is lacking. I don't know if I'll try to play on this server often unless I have 4 uninterrupted hours planned ahead of me. I got tdc going and now my wife is playing straight out of the underdark as a drow. Those games are easier to pull off single player 45 min. to 1 1/2 hour games without disrupting too much roleplay. What I am embarking on now is the truly beginning stages of my online gaming experience. I've played consoles out since Atari 2600, remember the first time I played Mario, Mega Man 2, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden 2, Golden Axe 3, Elder Scrolls 3, Half Life 2, Wizardry 3, Ninja Gaiden (XBox) nah not really I wish (the list would go on forever). I played BG, BG 2 online about 5 months on dialup, lol. That was desperation but this is like an interruptable vacation. I'm gonna go frag some beasties I'll be back direclar' (hopefully on another post before I look anymore like a schmuck.)

HaiAaron, I booted you.
I had warned you earlier in the day about a rules infraction. You may not have heard me as I was sending you tells. I warned you that if you continued that behaviour you would be banned.
Then the server semi crashed. You logged in immediately thereafter. Logging in immediately afterwards causes server instability.
I then warned you 4 times to log out, killed you so you would stop and try and figure out what was going on, gave you another minute and then booted you.
There is no intention to permanently ban you. Please read your rulebook carefully. Also, your chat menu is ESSENTIAL to playing online. Always keep it open.
As far as I can tell, you should be able to log back in at will. Please notify us if there is a problem. I hope you continue to play here and have more positive experiences in the future.

I thought I'd done something, but like I said at first: it was a little late when I'd discovered I'd done something wrong. I think the glitches kept me from seeing text until it all rammed onto the chat window, because I did have it open. I really like this site, but I am going to make sure from now on that I don't log on yall's server unless I have at least 2 hours of guaranteed uninterruptable time. When I had first logged on I was logging out at death (foolishly enough) and re-making a new character (in other words, if that character died, he *stayed* dead). I was so elated by the experience I didn't notice the rulebook in my inventory. Is it ok if make my char. come into the barroom and drink up when I know I'm only gonna have 30 minutes to play? That way he can just say, "I'm going back to my room to study the precepts of Moradin/meditate etc." He'd be like the guy on the couch. The character I'm using now just finished an incredible solo trip in which he whiped out the last of his families small fortune. He wants do drink and bum gold from passersby (Priest down on his luck). I think I'll do better next time I log on (but never again will I try while babysitting, lol). I appreciate yall being patient (and rather lenient, considering the impressive effort, energy, and responsibililty required to make a game world like this happen online) and allowing me the chance to gleam and show my mettle. If my wife (serinity19) comes on I warn you to be quickly up front with her because she hasn't had time to read the rules and I haven't had time to tell her. She also is completely green on combat rules, role playing, gaming online, etc. I'm going to try to talk her into playing action etc. and learn more of the basics before she tries something as in-depth as FRC. As much as I loathe to say it I may not be able to really do this much until our daughter is more grown up and doesn't require so much attention (though that is good for her too . Also, considering I haven't gamed more than solo for about two years, it was ever the richer experience to discover that NWN offered such detailed, engrossing gameplay. I'll definitely be back!
