You know, with all the discussions on races for FRC2 i satrted thinking on what races i would like to play on FRC OG and besides the ones i do play...it would have to be kobold or some race like that. Maybe even a full orc or a gobolin. I think that would be fun. even if i am a bad guy and just get slaughtered kinda like in those reverse dungeon games. Imagine that you and your norm party play the kobolds and some would be adventuerers come that way...would that not be a blast to go one on one with them? Those races are ecl 0 so no real advantages in all honesty...is it possible though Bioware to have these as classes? Not the most pc savvy here was just wondering...what race would you want to play? or monster? i remeber remarking to one of the dms that i know me and my little group would love to do that one day, just give us some kobolds to play all day, we earn no xp but man, that would be fun...

I wouldn't mind being able to play a goblin or kobold type character myself...especially if there was like a hidden village or fortress for the PC monsters. That way there would be some actual roleplay besides conflict with the goodly races so to speak. As far as them coming into Isenhold and being allowed to have a drink at the griffon? LOL: I see some of the slaughter mentioned going down real quick

Hiding? Taran is hiding? Just who went toe to toe with not one, but two green dragons while helgrin shook in the corner huh? the druid, that right! and i think i would play a lizard man. They don't get any love at all. *tromps through the swamp muttering about dealing with all the dam mud.*

heheheh.. that was a great day Taran..
Nah.. there is just a wizard der.. Lets rush him... OH CRAP.. *as a couple dragons all of a sudden stir in the shadow way in the back of the cave*
I will admit.. Taran saved Helgrins butt that day so kudo's
as for what monster to play.. Oh yeah.. Kobold. I have been passing the time today playing Hordes of the Underdark since i never finished it and have Dekkin along for the hell of it..
or
Giganitc black spider that used to be out in the hullack. Still wish I knew what dm sent two of those at me and Dornak one day on the way to Redmist back when we were low levels and had to have a natural twenty to hit them.. Gods that was a blast.....

I would love to be a kobold. Just think about having a bunch of kobolds rushing that group or slowly luring them through a properly trapped dungeon.

I would love to be a kobold. Just think about having a bunch of kobolds rushing that group or slowly luring them through a properly trapped dungeon. I -will- say that is really fun. In my pnp campaigns, the high level players shuddered at the mention of kobolds. If they saw one in the distance, they went in the opposite direction. They were organized (lawful), mean (evil) and knew their home ground like the back of their hands. Their tunnel complexes had kobold sized holes and tunnels for them to move around in, as well as "big folk" sized tunnels for intruders/meals. They had traps, uneven stairs (roll save not to tumble down and fall in the big hole at the bottom of the stairs if you are running after fleeing kobolds), murder holes (holes cut in to the ceiling and walls for archers and boiling oil) and huge stone plugs for their round doors, like a large stone wheel with a big pole on the inside. It was rolled in place in front of the doors on a cut track and was near impossible to open from the wrong side. Ah, good times. No fun after a while, since the players wouldn't go near them after a while. Still, my kobolds got respect, dammit!

This is exactly what kobolds should do to characters. As a dm I've made my pnp friends hate me with the nastiness of kobolds. As a player I just refuse to go after them after my first encounter. And this is why kobolds should get respect and people should want to be one! ;D
