but some pcs do a damm good amount of damage...is there no way to use subdual damage? i thought there was a script for it or you could toggle it or something. I would love to thrash some fellers with my fist or get thrashed rather than kill someone outright.

I rather enjoy PvP when it comes through tension build up and nice RP. Regarding the subdual... it's quite easy, since we aren't going to PvP every day (well usually) to just use a scroll on the dead and play it like you beat him unconcious and bleeding. That is a rather good way so that both parties have fun.
Well at least that's my opinion on it.

I suppose you're right about some people being cowards and immediately turning away at the face of danger from other people. All I was saying on that is that a lot of them routinely face other monsters with apparently no fear (some people are a clear exception to this). And to the fact that you are putting the fun above staying IC, that's one thing I didn't think of when posting. Absoloutely right. I feel a bit stupid saying people shouldn't run away from PvP . I never really do any serious PvP unless anyone has done something serious, only playful punching and the like, I just guess the main thing with PvP is you have to think about the person playing the character the other side. And seperating the IC and OOC penalties. Nobody likes to be set back 1000 exp because some guy runs up and challenges them to a fight and kills them. So, the best thing to do would be to raise them or to not kill them. Enough said I think .

I think were starting to stray a bit from what was originally said to now just the pvp thing. theres another posting somewhere in these forums where we can probably discuss this.
