I'm pretty sure most that frequent the forums often have noted the most commonly asked questions. You would think that just by looking around (like in the Server Rules section) folks would be able to find the answer to these questions themselves.
After looking around myself, though, I have to give this opinion: The forums are now so large and cumbersome that it's sometimes hard to find the answer to a question. And when you don't have that much time on your hands to search the forums the only solution is to post the question yourself.
Sometimes what a place needs is a good ol' fashion FAQ. One single solid thread that holds several of the most asked about questions with answers and links to where to find them. It gets stickied to the very tippy top of the forums so people can quickly just look there and see if their question is already answered.
How's this for an example:
Q: What spells have been altered on FRC?
A: Darkfire, Flame Weapon, Greater Magic Weapon, Keen Edge, Magic Vestement, Find Traps, Gate, Greater Planar Ally, Planar Ally, Knock, Familiars/Animal Companions, Summon Creatures/Monsters, Stoneskin, Greater Stoneskin, Barkskin, True Seeing, Animate Dead, Create Undead, and Create Greater Undead have all been altered on the server. Please refer to this thread for more details: frc.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=frcnewsandannouncements&action=display&thread=1157527978
Q: Can I play a ... (drow/tiefling/half-dragon/vampire/ect)?
A: As per the server rules located here: frc.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=serverrules&action=display&thread=1165925632 FRC does not support non-standard races. Please do not make characters like this as it will be an illegal character and you will be asked to remake them as a standard race.
Q: How can I get a language token and/or what/how many languages am I allowed?
A: You can ask a DM while in game to receive a specific language token. However, any additional languages beyond starting automatic and bonus languages need to be learned in-character through roleplay. Your character's natural INT modifier will be taken into account, so if you maxed out on your languages you'd have to put another point or two into your Intelligence to 'open the slot' for the new language. For a list of available languages please look here: frc.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=dmqa&action=display&thread=1162687829 You can refer to the following thread for more information: frc.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=dmqa&action=display&thread=1166835632

These three questions I got just from a casual glance over the forums in general and I'm certain there are more that can be answered. Long story short it will lighten the load for the crew if we do this.
