DM Question: How does Assasination work?

Hey there, i have a quick question, if your charecter get assasinated by a enemie party would that be ground for the enemy party to well drop there fued in a sort. example would be


Darius makes someone mad, darius trys to attack someone, someone then sends assassin after darius, darius dies, and fued over sence it has been taken care of.


my lines of thinking is, sence Assasination aint permadeath and the person can just respawn, assasination plots are hardly worth anything, if the person you assasinated just gets back up and continue to try and attack you, the assasin job would be useless. what i ask is

if you send a assasin to settle a fued and the assasin is sucessful will that halt all attempts of attacking for that situation

Example: Darius stole flower, darius is assasinated, Both partys now disregard the stolen flower thing and halt attacking over that crime.if darius does something else it would open him subject for new pvp

Pretty much, that's what we expect. Bob sends Tim to kill John for stealing the flower. Bob is satisfied and leaves John alone.

However... You must remember, if you die, your character loses the last 30 minutes real time (3 hours game time) of memory, so your character wouldn't even know they were killed by an assassin. This means that John, losing those 3 hours of game time, would have NO REASON to go after Bob for killing him.

Witnesses (if any) would be your only clue, and any metagaming of ANY sort regarding names of those who did the killing, fabricating witnesses along those lines, and so forth, will be dealt with accordingly by us DMs. We like to try and keep things fair and balanced for everyone, good and evil alike. ;D

The feud does not have to be dropped entirely. Be creative in your IC reasons as to why your character would not be so open about his feud. It doesn't have to die with the assassination, just postpone it. I know Ranan and Manshin would probably be the best people to discuss this. They have the longest standing rivalry on the server.
