Hello, i know i've been praised for playing well over the past weekend, and i know i'll be playing a whole lot more because this server has got me hooked onto going back onto the online servers. But enough of me brown-nosing.
As you know, i play Maxwell Kelter, Paladin of Torm, and i want to go into the prestige class Champion of Torm, and hopefully going into epic Champion of Torm. But my question stands as such. Would it be possible if i could "roleplay" into the class? I know you guys probably get this alot, but the only reason i ask is two fold. One, is because my old Dungeon Master would make us go into prestige classes only by roleplay purprose, thus if we didn't have a way to roleplay into such prestige class, we couldn't get it, and that made it fun for me. The second is that it would make my experience going into the prestige class memorible, a story to tell others of how i became Torm's Champion on the Material World.
Now i'm not asking for an avatar of Torm to come down, wave his hands around and boom, i was thinking more or less a few tasks from a priest of Torm to show my worthyness. But other than that, if you guys just want me to click the prestige class, i will, no problem with me, i know how tough it is to deal with everything. So, i thank you for hearing me out, and i'll take whatever decision, it won't kill me, i'll be playing still, its just something i've been wanting to ask.

While the DMs are here to enhance your gaming experience, it is hard for us to be everywhere at once and take everyone's request (hence our rule about asking for quests). That's not to say a DM won't pick up on your character's goals and ambitions and help them along, but its primarily up to the player to advance their own plots through RP. If your character wishes to become a Champion of Torm, your RP should always reflect that. You should take up your own quests. If you find a den of evil beasts, smite them with Torm's divine wrath. If you see a wrong-doing, right it.
Player-driven RP and plot advancment is one of the most rewarding experiences in FRC. DMs may interact with you and give you a quest to become a Champion of Torm, but it will only be after you've RP'd striving towards that goal, and even then DM attention isn't a assured.
So, in short, roleplay your character. Roleplay striving to achive your goals. Roleplay working hard to become a CoT. Sometimes, if a player shines enough, he or she will be garnered with a DM given quest, but that's only if the player's RP has gotten a DM's attention.
