The weather was not the best that day as Runa began to pull the gloves from her hands as she watched Morana etch out the plot where she was to begin discipline.
A punishment, ordered by the Baron, to dig a grave by hand for a criminal who aggressively laid with street workers; in turn, executed by decapitation.
Runa didn't think much about the one she was digging for. Her reason was voiced to the Scrivener who wrote it down as to why she didn't believe herself accountable for the actions of this criminal.
"We gave the Wolfmist elves grace and did not attack back as they assaulted us. In turn a group slaughtered innocent children. We are held accountable for that too.. for the crimes of others?"
The sound of familiar notations by Morana were heard from behind as she loosened the topsoil,
" I do this as the Baron ordered, but I do this in protest. He wants me to think about this, and I am.. Lord Baron, I surely am."
Scritch scritch...
Her disagreement was not out of spite nor any disrespect to the Baron she broke an oath too.
"However, I accept this punishment for my crime against the Barony. That I will whole-heartedly do with diligence."
The Captain, under scrutiny, took her time and saved her fingers as she began to dig away through the night.
While the Scrivener and Oghmanyte conversed over the hours, two figures were heard near the entrance of the Masoleum muttering incantations to better themselves for battle.
"Time for a break. Let's see who those two are, they look familiar."
Morana and Runa wander to the two figures:
The Half-Orc , Samzoura Songblade, Battle Bardess , Reserve Guard
and
Cirha Chernin, The young Human Bahamut worshiper with Golden eyes that seem to almost glow from her shadowy hood.
Greetings and Salutations were exchanged and the two Priestess spoke of the perils deep below in the crypt.
The two soon to be crypt dwellers spoke of Tymora's luck
They asked Sam and Cirha if they could be blessed by their respective Patrons so that they be warded against spells of deathly nature.
Wholeheartedly they agree and farewells follow.
"Back to the Dig.."
Runa continues her punishment and finally makes quite the progress as the night turns to day.
The grave is ready and prepped..
"All I must do now is bring the corpse here and reverse engineer my creation.."
As they prepare to leave a wandering elf with a stutter appears, Archer of what the Captain can guess, as well as a somewhat bashful demeanor. Runa, curious, lofted a brow.
A polite nod was given to Morana and the curious elf before departing.
"Back to my Duties.."
