The logistics of a blood trail being from such tiny critters a seemingly impossible feat.

What a difference a few days make. From richly rewarded hero to exile. One of the dwarves who defended the village from the hordes of Cult undead was exiled by the Sheriff who was nowhere to be seen when hundreds of undead poured out of a portal. Perhaps the Cult that failed in a direct attack has succeeded through skullduggery and possible corruption of local law enforcement in removing opposition to their invasion...
