Karyn stood, staring up at the grandeur of Morningmist Hall. She'd finally made it. Nearly seven years after her mentor had invited her to join his pilgrimage, it was complete... even if he hadn't been able to finish the trip.
Taking a deep breath, she stepped into the hall. Perhaps it was her simple robes, dirty and worn from travel or the small offering she left as tithe, which happened to be every coin she possessed, but the priests in attendance leveled unfriendly gazes at her, in spite of the symbol of Lathander prominently displayed at her collarbone.
Ignoring them, she preceeded to the alter, kneeling and producing a small pouch from her belt.
Emptying the contents into her palm, she began her prayer. Placing the first, she spoke, "for Chauntea, the horizon from which the dawn breaks," placing the second, "for his warmth, the light of hope to the scorching of his passing," placing the third, "for his radiance, that banishes the fell that threaten from dark places" removing her holy symbol from her neck and grasping it between her hand, "Morninglord, grant each aspect of your symbol to mine, that I may walk with your blessings and spread hope,as the light of the dawn gives the hope of the new day."
And she prayed. All through the dawn, past midday. Nothing. Sighing, she restored her symbol to its proper place around her neck and returned the three items to the pouch. She stood, walking out into the daylight as the clergy within silently regarded her. "Perhaps this isn't the place, or my connection to him isn't strong enough yet..."

As she frequently did, Karyn knelt down before the statue of the Morninglord in his temple in Eveningstar. She took the morningstar she'd recovered from foul creatures and placed it upon the alter at His feet, and prayed: "Morninglord, please accept this humble offering, in the hope that it might find its way to someone in need of a Positive Outlook~" (Yes the gods do listen)

It had happen. She -saw- it. She had prayed and Lathander had heard. Eveningstar was the right place. A few more preparations and she could attempt the ritual to bring her mentor's pilgrimage to a close once again. Hopefully this time, it would go better than her attempt in Marsember...

An odd occurrence. While searching for a sign from Lathander, she had found three rings. Upon inspection, one was of the tree minders, one of the warrior and last was of the divine champion. Perhaps it was a wild magic surge, but in an instant, Karyn found herself quite the distance from where she'd stood only moments before, the three rings gone. Disheartened, she prayed for solice. While she didn't hear Lathander, her own words echoed in her mind.
"for Chauntea, the horizon from which the dawn breaks, for his warmth, the light of hope to the scorching of his passing, for his radiance, that banishes the fell that threaten from dark places"
The rings were similar in nature to the items offered in her mentor's ritual. While the rings vanishing seemed to have no effect towards the ritual, it couldn't have been a coincidence, could it?

After speaking with her contacts amongst the Benign ones, and set the extra eye upon the problem, it was time to try again.
Kneeling at the small shrine to Chauntea in Valkur's Roar, Karyn took a small item from her belt and placed in on the alter. She then removed the holy symbol from around her neck, clutching it tightly in her hand, and began to pray: "Earthmother Chauntea, mistress of the Morninglord, as you are the horizon from which his light emerges each day, please grant my symbol your favor."
In a flourishing wave, a spiraling growth of divine energy erupts from the holy symbol and recedes just as quickly. The item placed on the alter gone, seemingly accepted as an offering by the goddess, Karyn inspects her holy symbol. The silver symbol is now tarnish along the bottom, the portion depicting the horizon. With a smile, she replaces the holy symbol around her neck and stands. The third eye was able to help her see her way here. Perhaps consulting with them further would help to find the proper place to find "his warmth".
