Recently returned to Cormyr, the hin calling himself Vorin, Sword of the Defender, heard tales of ogres threatening travellers approaching Shallybrook. And so, after seeing to the comfort of his trusty steed Rossante, the young paladin set forth. He met some on a cliff outside town, and issued a challenge... but the foul giants, knowing nothing of honor, rushed to overwhelm him with numbers rather than face him one on one. Though hard pressed, his faith in the Defender held true, and Vorin proved victorious. Looking around nearby, he found other ogres, and offered them the chance to leave the nearby hin in peace. The bestial creatures did not welcome the offer, and in fact rushed to engage the hin paladin as soon as they saw him. Though Vorin fought off the ogres threatening the road to Shallybrook, he was sore wounded, and did not pursue them into the nearby woods. Perhaps they had learned to leave the hin in peace; if not, they would have to be dealt with another day. Returning to Shallybrook to recover and tend to his arms and armor, Vorin had one errand to tend to first: stopping by the shrine to Arvoreen, Vorin offered his thanks to the Defender for granting hime the strength to protect the hin.
